ORIGINAL: Canoerebel If I was a betting man, I'd wager that your fears at Treasury will prove unfounded. However, you have proven me wrong on more than one occasion, so I dare not contradict you. Good luck! My friend this time you were right! Rader just lost the occasion to destroy my transport fleet... Was a mixed turn...we got lucky here, but we were unlucky in another circumstances...however i cannot complain. Our DD division sent to Treasury got in its path a barge Tf evacuating from Choiseul Bay (Rader is evacuating en masse!) and sunk several barges with 600 men... Then during the day my micthells found a TF at Salamua full of combat troops...(he's so reinforcing NG...)..and sunk several ships... Then his BBs arrived at Treasury on the second day and my DDs, that managed somehow to escape from his LBA, managed to get very close and fired several salvos of torps...none of them hit the target ...while retreating the BBs managed to hit us and we lost 2 DDs... Then his CAs arrived at Milne Bay...where it should have been a DD division...for some reason my DDs ended up 1 hex too far and didn't catch the bastards...bastards that sunk 4 AKs and one xAP with a strong RAAF base force in it...pity He used his full KB to annihilate my raiders at Ontong Java......while our C-47s were able to extract all my paras (even if they got bucthered during the first day by his Helens and Betties...)... So not a bad day considering which expectations i had...very strange he didn't try to engage my fleet, nor to LRCAP Treasury... We could have been luckier with the naval engagements but the loss of 2 DDs, 4 AKs and 1 xAP is not exactly a catastrophe And Rekata is ours.... AF level 5...no wonder Rader is evacuating...
