Wow! Nobody use foreign to English characters in ANY unit names, or you will lose all of your work and the game will refuse to function!
Don't use any commas either.

I'm working on my second CC map. This map looks very much like the last one, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions for a different CC map?

Also, I've been messing around w/hex maps. I don't know why because I never played table-top hex-based games. I was also wondering if anybody knows where I can find a good screen shot of a hex-based map?

I love your work, HintJ. I don't play CC anymore, but I would love to see a good, big winter map of Stalingrad. Preferably out in the steppe or the Stalingrad-Kalatch-map.

That map is part of the CC5 Stalingrad mod I think. I'd have to dig up a very old hard drive on a very old computer to find it, but I have it somewhere, I think.

Anyway, I did pull up a winter map, just to get an idea what it looks like. It seems the painted shadows in a CC map work very well for showing terrain elevations, but the sunlight angle must be perfectly set in Mapmaker to jibe w/it.

This brings up another issue: We don't have an "Thick Ice" terrain type.

Panzer Command, the table-top game. I would be pretty easy to paint the terrain types and slight elevations, auto generate the trees, etc.

Maybe it is just too much of a step backwards in gaming to go in this direction. Or maybe the copyright owners of the map would flip out if someone released a map like this.

You are an artist with this map maker, HintJ. That winter map is also very good. Are you going to post it?

An artist, me? I'd like to think so, but really my point is the ease of re-creating other people's artwork in PC w/Mapmaker. There's nothing to it really; you just get a good top-down picture and greyscale image, repaint the terrain feature for 1 pixle to 1 meter, put some objects on, and you've got just about any map you can image/find.

I love the CC maps, but what I really want to create is a board-game style map in PC. The Gimp has an awesome hex-grid generator that I want to exploit.
