So is this something that cannot be done? Or making an alliance with the AI? I am getting tired of being attacked on all fronts against multiple AI.

On the random games everyone starts at war.  Any way to change that?

When I start a random game on my ATG it has every AI starting at war with me. I can screen cap it if you want

Are you sure you are playing a random game without some special option. Because for me (and im sure everybody else) nobody is at war at the start

If you create an ATG random game with the 1 Town Start option checked, then everyone is at war with every other player. I don't know if that was intended or not. Will have to check with Vic. My suggestion for now would be to keep the number of AI players in this type of game to no more than 3 or 4.

Once your at war with an AI, you are in a war to the end.

So is this something that cannot be done? Or making an alliance with the AI? I am getting tired of being attacked on all fronts against multiple AI.

That will have to change then. In a future patch, or in AT2. The spectrum of political options should be a little broader IMHO. Say your AI opponent is no longer a threat, make peace and make a deal --->give up territory/cities/raw materials.
Maybe there should be an additional screen, CIVI-II spring to mind again, portraying all the nations (with flags/pictures) and lines denotating all the different alliances/wars/treaties they have. In that screen you could declare war, or make an alliance proposal, and so on.
I know this all sounds a bit farfetched, so no hurry.
