Hi I'm also a newcomer to this forum but I have been following this AAR and I was wondering, in the map at the top of the page which unit is that elite SS Panzergrenadier unit that is just northwest of Breslau. The reason I ask is I don't recall there being any elite SS Panzergren units in this period

Checked the save. It is the 18th SS Panzergrenadier Division (or one regiment of it, it is broken down into regiments).

Interesting that this unit is listed as non-elite in the scenario data but is showing as elite in the screenshot. Since this game was from the time of release, it's possible the data was changed later, but there could be something else going on here.

Curious what has changed since in a few years since this amazing AAR? Would Tarhunnas have been granted a auto victory. With 15 million casualties what more did he need for a Axis victory?

Game was completely screwed up late war.

As I tried to point out during thread there was massive AP sink as can be seen, but I was ignored for over 12 months before morvael/Denniss and another person found the issue.

There were 100's of swapping issues that caused the German OOB to crash.

The OOB would have 2 million men and 1 .5 million in the manpower pool.

1.07 and finally 1.08 fixed 90% of these issues, but the last 10% of bugs are in 1.08.05.

Which means the game is still not 100% until .05 is done aka a public patch

not sure why 2by3 is dragging there feet on this.

The up side for 2by3 is most people never get to 44+

Only Campiagn game see the effects as they are very small but become HUGE after 100+ turns.

Read Peltonx vs smokendave and you see the issue still active, but much improved.

If you read the AAR's very few people play games to the end.

Hopefully .05 goes public asap.
