I'm playing a scenario where there are enemy units that start in reserve. The units are available for use at a later turn. Do these units stay in reserve status even if attacked, or do they become available for use? They seem to defend when attacked, but I can't tell if they are able to be used/moved by the opponent.

Depends. If a formation is in Garrison Status units get activated individually if you attack them, but not if you move adjacent to them. Static and Delay Orders will activate the entire formation when you move adjacent to or attack any unit of the formation. So, if you regard looking into the editor as cheating you can't know.

Btw, anyone knows how the Fixed orders work now? Are such units still "fixed" when i don't use the PO assistance/Mode?

Thanks. I found it in the Scenario Viewer too. I haven't really tried the editor yet. I guess looking at the Editor or Viewer isn't really cheating, it seems like a common practice and the tools come with the game (well, the editor does). Thanks for the info.

I just found the information on the deployments you mentioned and a lot of others that haven't showed up so far in normal game play in section 17.10 of the manual. I guess learning the editor isn't just for game designers :)
