The icons for other units can sometimes block your view. This allows you to see thru the icons somewhat. The con is that it makes the icons on distant units a little harder to see since they are not so bright. Enjoy.

Could you post a screenshot of what these look like?

Nice. Seeing that makes me realize the command star is now redundant as the leader is round and the sub units square.
We could use the star area for something else like a radio contact light.

The scale looks odd, between the railway equipment and units. I assume this is only because of options to 'magnify' the unit models, but it does look weird.

Yes he increased the size for the screenshot to better show them. This is a great feature when you see the enemy icon across the map but can't tell what it is. Quick tap of the keyboard and increase to see it, then tap the other key to decrease again.

Yes, but the keys chosen, "'" and "/" (not on the numeric pad) are weird, especially with a non US keyboard... Any chance to be able to remap the hotkeys ?

As you may have noticed when pressing the K key, we get to use just about every key on the keyboard for something. When we got to increase and decrease there wasn't much left on that side of the keyboard. ' and / works well for me being left handed. Being in the US those keys are on the lower right, next to enter and shift.

You could try a free program autohotkey that works well for me in other games.

They are in the same place here in the UK, as well... at least on my UK Dell.

get a programable mouse. Mine has 5 buttons which I can map to any key stroke. They are nice.
