Please some new news......I have my eye on this one and I "Am" going t buy...would be nice to know when.....lol

You'll notice that neither Matrix nor Walker are rushing to answer your question. That's because all of the news that we have had in the past has been in the vein of "we hope to have it out by X", which never happens. None of the veterans of this group ask Walker anything anymore because none of the "news" that we have had in the past has been of any value.

How sad. I just seen this game awhile back and thought how great it will be to play a boardgame in this manner. What a neat concept ...its like close combat meets Squad Leader...well....guess I haven't waited as long as you guys...but still looking very forward to this when it finally comes out. It can't be "That" long off....;)

Y'know. When I see a post like this it really pisses me off. Many of us know the deal and we know that we aren't going to see the game anytime soon. Maybe not at all. So we make a joke out of it. But then guys like this come along expecting to actually see a game and all anyone can say is that it's all bullshit and unfortunately that's absolutely true. Walker has been stalling us for so long that nobody can possibly say anything positive about the development of the game. Nothing. Nothing at all!

Hasn't been any info for a bit, which is a little disappointing. Join (most of) the rest of us in finding something more productive to fill time with than pointless fist waving.

Don't know if you're a board gamer at all, but you could also check out some of Lock n' Load's board game offerings. Band of Heroes is quite good. I picked that up about 8 months ago,and have since purchased 3 expansions for the damn thing. And it's by a different company entirely, but I also highly recommend the Conflict of Heroes series from Academy Games.

Hey Arctic Blast, have you ever tried playing Band of Heroes by VASSAL? Either PBEM or "Live" via Skype? Great fun either way.
Let me know if you want to give it a try.

Hmmm... I haven't noticed any "pointless fist waving", but I have seen quite a few annoyed comments on the state of the game. Maybe you're thinking of another group?

No need to apologize to me. You aren't the one that annoys me. We're just having a discussion about the non-progress of the game. (Gunhawk says as he "screams for the game" and "pointlessly waves his fist")

Haven't tried it via Vassal, yet. Out of curiosity, how much of the game is handled by the module vs. handled by the players?

All of it is handled by the players. No rules inforcement etc.

Played "live" with Skype it's just like sitting down at a table to play.

Nope just use a regular desktop. Skye is just a way to talk to each other, the real cool thing is Vassal. It's software that lets you play board games on the PC.

Go here to check it out:
