I added pirate ships and weapons effects. Also, I finally introduced some order to the first post, so it isn't so chaotic. The next set will be very much like Higaaran ships from HW2. Not sure when will it be finished though :/

Great job yet again, Kalthaniell!
I've never used any weapon effect mod, but I may start using yours. Its "PEW! PEW!" factor is just about right for me.

K! Had some spare time to mess around with the new ship images, and I can confirm that making new folders for new ships won't work.
I tried to make family7 and family8 folders in minorsets folder and add some pirate and misc ships from Kalthaniell's first ship pack there. Did not work.
Also, tried to make new family folders for ships in this thread. No luck either.
Seems like currently you have to overwrite some of your old families if you want to use custom ones. Hopefully this is changed in coming patch/expansion so you can add new ship families without restrictions.

J, I think the limit for ship families is family19, but only for the main races shipsets.

JHGT thank you for checking that out. If you never used any weapon mod I think you'll be really satisfied with my pack. I myself am happy with how does it look ingame.I'll be working on torpedoes so expect an update.
Igard- I hope no one will raid your shipyards to steal your romuan ale using this pirate ships:P Though, I'm pretty confident the Warbirds would still turn them into space dust. :]

Kalthaniell, if you have spare time, you might want to check that older ship-packs ships engines.
Started a new game today and thought about using your ships to give my Kiadians some more color. The ship 206 (the green catamaran like ship) from ungrouped1 family don't show engines correctly. There's just blue lines where the engine-flare should be. I know the blue line indicates the place of the engines when you are painting ships.
I can't confirm if other ships have this problem as I ran into this just moments ago.

Thx JHGT, I'll look into it after I finish the next set. I might even redo some of the ships from ungrouped1 and ungouped2 into pirate ships or complete them as sets. If you run into any more errors like that please let me know, I'll be posting updates on everything I'll release in the future (far future probably).

I just uploaded another shipset. I use this one for humans :] looks great when fighting invading shakuri fleets. Next, I plan to make few pirate ships and maybe redo some of the olders ships. Not sure when I'll do next shipset.
Anyway, enjoy new set guys :D

That's true. It might be just me or the resources I use, but all the ships I make lately look a bit 'humanish'. I think it's hw2 influence, since that's where I take most of my inspiration and knowledge of starships from. There never were any real alien looking aliens in that game :].
Anyways ,I'll be working on next shipset this week. I plan to use either hw2 or Sins of Solar Empire ships as resources. I've already done a huge improvement to weapon effects and testing on the already released ships so I might be uploading it quite soon. I'll be leaving the older weapon effects in case someone likes them better.
Also thx for positive feedback guys. Really appreciate it.

Have to admit. I didn't like it. Pretty good graphics, but gameplay was kind of a typical click-festy RTS for me. Apparently the expansion is really good though.
