Comments on AIs: Generally, PR comes out the best (simplest tactics maybe?). General comments all AI players put too many infantry factors into garrison and not enough into corps. All AI players overcommit forces to minor countries. All AI players are slow to complete conquests of minor countries and may let war lapse. All AI players may build too much cavalry and not save enough money for supplies. All AI players do not seem to combine stacks with allies. All AI players fight until their capital is under siege/occupied and then unconditionally surrender.

Prussian AI: On setup, PR doesn't try to stack its forces far away from the FR border, instead usually having its on-setup forces near Berlin.

AS AI: Mack is sometimes leading a larger army than Charles. Does the AI use the insurection corps? I have seen the insurrection corps activated (forced to stop one of my corps moving into Austria) but I'm not sure if Austria actually places the insurrection corps on the map.

GB AI: Does not build enough ships. Does GB give money to allies? Does GB trade with non-allies? Does GB block FR american trade and reduce FR VPs? GB forces do not stack in allied countries to fight France. GB invades Brest even when there are no French ships there.

Russian AI: Goes to war with France, but does not seem to know how to prosecute a war with France. Rarely finishes an invasion of Sweden. Has a habit of stacking cossacks in a minor country instead of using to interrupt supply lines. Cossacks do not auto withdraw from trivial combats.

Spain AI: Guerrillas do not auto-withdraw from trivial combats. Has a habit of stacking guerrillas instead of spreading out to interrupt supply lines.

Turkey AI: Rarely finishes the conquest of Egypt, even when committing 5 or more corps. Does pretty well against Austria (because Vienna is close to Turkish border). Does not do as well against Russia (Moscow too far away).

France AI: Does ok against AS and PR. Has problems with other major powers.

Good points. I believe garrisons, minor country DOWs, Austrian insurrection corps, ship building, guerillas and several others are on the radar screen for attention. GB trade and related economic/victory options should be looked at.

FYI, I've reviewed all these good comments plus the others on the other thread and added issues #818-826 to Mantis for Marshall to look at for AI enhancements.

One possibly contentious issue (#818) may be whether to reconsider the exception that no AI-controlled Major Power will receive any bonuses if their capital is under unbesieged control by a human player OR under an enforced peace with a human player. It seems as if the bonus is no bonus in many cases, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to drop this restriction. Or perhaps modify it halfway or something. More player feedback may be needed.

Biggest AI complaint is that I can smash their corps and they will not give conditional surrenders, and shortly after smashing their army I flip off "accept conditional surrender".  It would be nice if they could figure out when to cut their losses and try to give or accepet conditional surrenders. I know thats a tall order.
