China
Bombed

Burma
Bombed. I bombed an IR retreating from China and killed several hundred troops. I also shocked attacked at Bhamo with a unit getting ready to leave the game. I also set up a cap trap and it didn't work. I am going to bomb the troops again today. I will also attack at Bhamo.

Darwin
A transport TF gets whacked, I lose 10 xAKs and one escort. No LRCAP over the TF. My fault. I also spot a CL SAG heading towards Darwin. I lose several bombers attacking to Nicks. I plan on going after Salmulaki (sp) with bombers and sweeps. I also lose a sub in the Solomons.

Ok that's all I can remember and its time for bed.

We performed a Shock attack at Lashhio. Got 1 to 2 odds and killed a few more Japs than we lost. Forts are still 5 can't seem to knock them down yet. I'm going to shock again today. The only thing that's keeping him in control of the base is forts and the terrain. He only has a busted up IR with 52 AV in the base plus some arty units. Another Busted up IR is trying to move into the base from China.

Northern Oz
We bomb an AF to the west of Ambon.

Solomons
Quiet. I got him to spread out his fighters some. I doubt this will last to long.

I have been in a rut for the last few weeks. Work and life has put a damper on my playing and AAR time. I hope to get some extra time in the next few days.

Lashio we clash in the air and on the ground. Koniu puts up some CAP. I had one P47 squadron go in at 4k instead of 34k which was what I had ordered. I lose 19 P47s, 12 P38s, and 6 Corsairs with 30 2E bombers. We shoot down or destroy 46 Franks, 24 Georges, and 13 Tojos. I lose a pilot with 19 kills and one pilot reaches the 20 Kill mark. Yes 20 Kills. He will be sent home for awhile. The attack on the ground comes off at a 1 to 1 attack and drops forts by 1. We take the same amount of casualties. I am wondering if I should shock attack again? What do you guys think?

Solomons
Japs sweep Nadzab and bomb the ground troops for nothing. The AF just went to 1 so I will bring in some fighters.

Last of my Inf Bdes in N China are destroyed. Changsa and other bases are bombed.

Lashio shock attack went bad. That other Jap IR made it into the base before my attack went off we lose over 1,200 men to his 300 or so. Japs bombing my troops for nothing really. Waiting on units to get into positions to attack. I still have those 2 units waiting to upgrade. Any advise?

Solomons
Sweep came in today but found nothing. I've had a bunch of subs take hits from Air ASW. They are heading back to Oz for repairs.

Oz
We put 2 hits on a sub near Rockhampton.

Pago Pago
Got a sub with a float plan patrolling. I sighted it a few days ago but lost it. I now have a CVE with DBs on ASW in town. Hopefully I will find this sub and send it to meet Davey Jones.

My ships are getting sighted some 20+ hexs away from the nearest Jap bases. I'm getting sighted about 7 hexs out from Johnson Island, I can't find any subs either. Ships are being sighted above Suva, again I can't find a sub. I know some Jap planes have some long range but dang.

Most carriers are in upgrades then will move for an op.

Having the same issue with some Japanese spots on bases and shipping. I assumed it had to be Mavis on a very narrow and well guessed search arc or subs. I am also assuming that an atoll or island will go "red" if a seaplane base is established. I'd like to know if I'm wrong about this.

Aitape
random bombing mission finds fighters. Luckly I sent fighters in first. We meet 89 Georges all at 31K feet. We lose 9 P 38s 7 B 24s and 1 P47 for 53 Georges on the first day. Georges were still on the runway on the 2nd. We destroy some, but when I looked at the air loss screen I see that Koniu had to destroy some of his own planes. 45 for the 2nd. Great return on a routine bombing mission.

Marshalls
I have been able to sneak in some supplies and get the AF damage down. I set up another CAP trap.

We do catch Konius bombers with some LRCAP, we shoot down 5 of them for no lose. That doesn't stop him from bombing again several days later with no sweep or escort. Might have to try it again.

Burma
Bombings on both sides. I am doing recon by Bombing missions.

NW coast of Oz
Koniu has a DD attack an xAKL TF of mine. He sinks 3 xAKLs and damages several other ships.

Carins
My ASW CVE TF has been looking for I 31 for days. It finds it not the way I wanted but I will take it. The Air ASW TF runs into the sub and the DDs sink it. The sub goes down with a fight but does little damage to a DE.

Solomons
Quiet. Recon spots Yamato and other BBs at Rabual.

Marshalls
Cap trap fails due to no bombers. I fail it by forgetting that there wasn't enough supply to fly the fighters out. Now I am in a cat and mouse game with Koniu. CLs bombarded Wotje for nothing. I am trying to push in some supplies by LST with CVE's providing some support. Just waiting for the KB to show up.

bombed. Looks like Koniu slipped in 2 parts of the 20th ID. I found them on a bombing mission. I will do an arty attack tomorrow to see whats here. I am massing troops for the attack across the river at Prome or the hex just east of it.

3rd Raiding rgt is getting pounded from the air at Madang. Troops moving to Madang through the jungle.

Marshalls
My TF moving towards Wotje are being watched by jap planes. We try to bomb Roi Namur and my 4Es get trashed, 22 lost. I need to get my CVs into this area to help out but it will take awhile.

I think Prome is my next target. Either that or the hex to the east of it. Picture below.

I have a little over 4,500 AV prepped for Prome. 360 tanks are ready to roll. Japs have 14 units with 28k worth of troops and 530 tanks. I don't know what all these units are. The hex to the east of Prome has 4 units, 20k men and 570 tanks in rough terrain.

I am leaning towards Prome for several reasons. One its a clear terrain hex. It also has an AF. Once I clear the skies I can bomb from the air and cut down on some of the troops. There are no troops behind it yet. The hex to the east is in rough terrain.

Koniu has slipped in an ID. He also has an IR, tank rgt (trashed). I have an Indian ID coming down from the North. I also have an African ID with a tank rgt moveing in from the east that will try and move to the hex south of Lashio. Unless he wants cut off, he will have to move some units to stop my ID. I believe he will do it but its going to be a juggling game. Pulling an IR from Lashio will weaken his forces their. The hex to the east has an ID, art unit and something. So he won't pull the ID out, so troops will have to come from Taung Gyi. That will weaken Taung Gyi. Chess match with who has the most troops.

I don't have enough troops to take Lashio yet. With the ID coming down from the north there is also a Chinese corp waiting to be bought out just across the border. If I can cut Lashio off I can trash another ID.

If you can open the coast road, you may be able to run something "light" down the coast and scare him out of Prome.

Hey guys. My thought was to send in the Chinese Corp with maybe an ID or 2 BDEs first then follow on with IDs and such after that. Koniu has an ID plus some other units that I can't remember what they are in the hex west of Prome. I see this turn that he has troop/s moving out of that hex towards Prome. If he weakens his stack I will attack and try and take it. If that happens I can run units down towards Rangoon. This is the chess match I have been talking about. Who's going to blink first?

My worry is that Koniu has some ships close by getting ready to ruin my party. I did bring in some pig boats to add a little spice to life. Other than that nothing much is happening.

Ok I have moved 69 fighters to Majoelap. 21 Corsairs at 30k, 21 Hellcats at 20k, and 20 P39s at 10 and 5k. I also flew in 12 SBDs for some offensive punch if he sends in some ships. 15k worth of supplies on the ships that should arrive tomorrow. I know not much but that's what I got for now. If this works and I can keep the AF open I will have more in a few days.

Japs keep bombing my units in the open above Prome. I am taking a good amount of casualties but inflicting losses on the bombers that are attacking.

Java
An S boat is worked over pretty good and will require yard time.

Madang
The 3rd Raiding company is getting worked over pretty good. I am actually killing squads by air now. Recon shows only 240 troops left. I will have two units in the hex tomorrow.

Maloelap
BB and CA led SAG sinks 2 DDs and 5 LSTs for only 2 hits on a BB. I knew this was going to happen. I do have an 2 xAKs in the hex now. I am thinking about disbanding them into port to protect them some from the next rampaging SAG. I am sending the DD back home. I have 2 more xAKs inbound they will go to Wotje and 3 AKs will stop just short of Maloelap to try and miss the incoming SAG or Bombardment group. No sweep of the base but fighters did escort bombers in. It wasn't pretty. 18 Helens are shot down with 3 flak and 7 ops loses, 27 Georges are shot down with 2 ops loses, 21 Jills are shot down with 3 ops loses and somehow 13 Jakes are shot down. We lose 4 P39s, 2 Hellcats and 2 Corsairs. Not bad in the air. I doubt Koniu will try and bomb again. He will send in a bombardment but recon of the base is low 3/9. So I am hoping that the bombardment won't do much.

Roi Namur
Fleet boat is worked over, and is heading back to PH. It spots the Kongo, that ship wasn't with the BB SAG that hit Maloelap.

Japs try and bomb my 4 units moving to cut off Lashio. No damage to my troops but several bombers are damaged. We bombard the stack to the west of Prome for no results.

Madang
We find fighters on LRCAP. 11 Tojos are shot down with another 9 ops and 15 Zeros are shot down with another 10 lost as ops. We lose 2 P 47s in A2A with 5 as ops, 2 Lightning's and 2 more as ops. We also lose 8 Ventura bombers. Looks like Koniu is dropping off a Nav guard unit at the dot base above Madang. I am going to send some DDs up there to see if they are still disembarking troops. I will do a DA at Madang. I hope that I can dislodge or destroy the 3rd Raiding rgt.

Maloelap
DD Bradford try's to fight off a Jap BB led SAG. She takes a hit but puts one shell into the Kongo and one into a DD before she leaves. This SAG plasters Maloelap. AF and base are closed. I lose 3 Hellcats and a Corsair to the bombardment but most of the rest are damaged. I was able to fly out a few to Wake.

We find an ACM in port and sink it.

Hansa Bay
Our 3 DDs find a nice fat amphib TF. They sink 5 xAPs out right with 1 or 2 more in sinkable condition. Our DDs take no damage.

Marshalls
Maloelap now has 6K worth of supply with more going to be delivered tonite. Wotje is getting supply as we speak. Nicks attack our TFs but cause no damage.

Joc: Yes 550 non combat troops lost. Koniu told me that I owe him 6 xAPs, so another one sunk. He also stated that I am not aloud in the "I hate Fletchers" club.

Bombardment TF comes rampaging thru. Yamato with 3 other BBs and DDs come for a visit. I lose 8 small escorts or PT boats. 8 APA, 3 AKA plus troops on board are also lost. I lose a small Seabee unit, TD unit (only had 2pdr guns), and an Aviation base force. I bought back the Aviation base force. They also bombard the AF closeing it and destroying 35 AC on the ground and damaging a bunch more. I am hoping the AF will be open tomorrow. We do put a single TT into the Yamato. These ships went thru 4 different TFs in combat plus one PT group that ran and was attacked twice by air before they bombarded. How much ammo can they have.

Sweeps. I am planning a DA in the hex west of Prome. 3 IDs, 3 BDEs, and 3 Armor units. A bombardment is also planned. Jap troops are moving out of Lashio. So a recon bombardment will happen tomorrow also. I will send in bombers to help the attack before our troops attack also. 5 Jap units are in the hex west of Prome. 1 ID, A detachment of a tank div, 2 arty units, and I think an HQ.

Christmas Island IO
Jap AMC attacks my resupply TF, it roughs up 2 xAKs but the DDs embedded in the TF run it off.

The transports took most of the brunt from the Jills dropping bombs. The TT bombers went after the warships and only got 2 hits. Most of all ships are running for cover. Air loses are 48 Zeros, 26 Georges, 22 Nells, 14 Jakes, 7 Judys, 6 Tojos, 4 Jills and a few others. We lose 21 Hellcats, 19 Warhawks, 7 P47s, 7 P39s, 5 Boomerrangs, 2 Corsairs. I think he had most of his planes in on this battle. I am tempted to launch bombers and sweeps at Rabual. Intel says it still has almost 400 fighters.
