213 combat and 250 engineer + non-combat squads gone plus over half a hundred vehicles during combat phases alone - nice job! A lot more must have gone down outside actual combat when the cripples sunk.

10,000+ losses to the Allies there alone, Singapore should be a piece of cake now, whole Malaya cant have more than 500 or so AV any more, maybe not more than 400... You just got your revenge for the Ambon disaster and the lost CSes: what you did just shortened the Malaya & DEI campaign by several weeks, even a month!

Thanks

I think it can be 15000+:) Many of ships should sink after battle phase. It feel good to take revenge for the Ambon.

I have now different problem KB is in low fuel and ammo and CA Huston is between me and port. They are not big threat to KB.But they will disturb my naval actions in area for few turns

Second problem is that my forces are spread around entire DEI and they are on sea 3 weeks now and many is out of ammo and fuel. I need to send them to ports for replenishment and that will give window to allies. Lose of CA Chokai is problem to. I will never replace him and this is very long game.

You have right i think there is no more than 700AV in Singer(worse case scenario). To capture singer i will use 1600AV

PS. Japanese units entered manila today, no enemy presence so Manila will be taken without fight

Manila captured without fight. I set all units to move to Clark Field. I have here 1600AV so it is will be interesting.

HK cleared from mines.I am sending there 2 CA damaged by mines week earlier.

KB slowly sailing north. First stop will be Babeldaob. I will tactical refuel there and sail to HK for suplies, ammo and for new planes and pilots. They should be ready for fight in 2 weeks.

In 18 days on sea KB have lost 6F, 11DB and 2TB. 10 Japanese pilots lost lives in action.
Also KB shot down 31 enemy planes and sunk or damage 35+ enemy ships including 12SS, and few DD and CL`s

I have capture Kuching and Beaaufort.
Heavy air fights in Singer 12 Buffalo's destroyed, 6 Oscars lost

KB one day from Babeldaob. KB will meet there AO TF and sail to HK but first he will support Manado invasion. From South China Sea i am sending heavy SAG (2BB, 3CA, 2CL, 5DD) they will make combat patrol around Celebes. They primary objective is to find CA Huston and destroy it. I think that Docup want to reinforce Timor. Serch planes spoted TF unloading in Koepang.
Also I thing that units i have destroyed in latest sea battles ware transporting LCU`s to Tiomor. I will use SAG to bombard Koepang.

Welcome again a have been very busy last two weeks so i have no time to make AAR. So there will be summary what happens between 26 DEC and 6 JAN 42

KB
KB returned to HK to refuel and take replacement. After 5 day spend on repairs KB leave HK and now they are 6 hexes south of HK.
They first action will be supporting SECOND Ambon invasion

Philippines
After taking Manila without a fight i have win battle for Clark Field. Enemy retreat to Bataan. Estimated power of Allies is between 800-1000AV. I am sending there 1700AV. They should arrive to Bataan in 3 days. I am using all available planes to bombard them.
On south i am slowly taking Mindanao basses. Allied forces are concentrating in Cagayan.

Burma
No important actions. I start to buildup airfields in Chiang Mai and in Bangkok. I have rebased zeros to Bangkok they will sweep Rangoon.

Malaya
Entire Malaya besides Singer i in my hands. Estimated power of Singer defenders is 700AV with fort 3. I have attack city with 1700AV now it is 1300+200 is disrupted. Shock attack on city cost me 6.5k causalities, allies lost 2k. 550AV more will arrive to Singer in 4-5 days. All Allied air forces are destroyed so I starting bombing campaign in Singer.

Dutch East Indies
I start series of small invasions in Borneo, I have also capture Manado and Ternate.
Next step will be Ambon. I am thinking also about Timor to cut off DEI from Australia.

During east Borneo invasions Allies try to attack my forces with CA Huston and CL Boise. They ware intercepted by my SAG(2xBB, 3xCA) after battle (Huston 3 hits and Boise 6 Hits) allies ship retreat with heavy damage and heavy fires. I have also hear sinking sounds and CA and CL was listed as sunk but names are wrong. If i have luck they sunk if not they will need long vacations in shipyard. All hits was made by 36cm BB guns. there was also information about ammo explosion in Huston.

I am start to planing invasion on Sumatra and Java.
There are two big plans( they are depend of how fast Bataan and Singer will fall

Plan A:
Singer and Bataan are falling relative fast.
Operation will have two invasions. One will land in Oosthaven or Palembang(200-400AV of Allied forces here) to secure south Sumatra. Second will land in west Java to secure Batavia and cut of Sumatra from air support. Invasion will be supported by Mini KB and LBA from Singer and average SAG.
Very important there will be mine swiping operations. According to intel all port in area are heavy mined.

Plan B
Singer(probably) or Bataan not fall. Invasion will only have place in Sumatra to secure oil fields. To have superior air power i will need to use KB

now i waiting how situation in Singer and Bataan will progress.

South Pacific
I am almost ready to start Rabul region invasion. Probably i will use mini KB to support but KB is still in option.
I am thinking about very risky move. Maybe i will try Noumea or PM invasion. But i still thinking if and when. Noumea will be good base to cut off Australia from US but later it will be difficult to hold because supply line will be long

China
It is starting be interesting here.
By my mistake i have shock attack Chengchow and now i have 1500AV there and 500 in move. Allies forces are 1200AV and grooving. Now i need to give them some rest but i will tray few attacks. It is going to be main front of this war(for now) so i preparing to big battle.

All Chinese units retreat from soutt china to Changsha region. I am preparing to defense there. Building fortifications is my priority.

AVG shot down few my planes but on 4 Jan i have manage to destroy 15 enemy planes so i have few day with clear sky

Japan, Korea, Manchuria
Resources are in move. They have stop drooping so it is good news. Biggest problem now is oil. But it will change when DEI will be my. I have bought 14 inf div (2 of 3 parts) from Manchuria i am planing to use them in PM or Noumea when i buy third part and rebuild division. They are in rout to Truk now.

Allied SS aroud Home island are more active everyday. I will have more than 20 ASW TF`s in few days to hunt them down

Ship production as planed. I am building 200+ fighters monthly so it is good. Rest of planes are also ok for now. I have only problem with Ha-32 engine but in 2-3 weeks i will produce exactly as many engines as i need.

Be sure you have planes to spot before you send your ASW forces in.  You need to get the allied sub DT high before you can hit them with your surface forces.

Thanks

They should be on ASW mission or search mission? I have few squadrons training ASW so maybe i will use them, but now they have poor skill in asw and search.

If you set them to 40 % ASW, 40 % train, 20 rest you can get them better while they're still out spotting subs. After a few months they will be quite good.

You know, I haven't had a lot of success with ASW per se.  I just use Naval Search.  My surface forces are VERY effective when my air units get the SS DL up to 10 and hold it.  Frequently an outright kill, and even when not travel at 2 - 3 knots all the way back to PH takes weeks.  Often there are the lovely "gurgling" sounds heard during replay that are not associated with any attack of the day followed by another 10 pts in the ship sunk list.

Do your searching planes also get hits on subs? Or just detection, followed up by the surface ASW ships?

Also, are you using mostly the ASW 8 subchasers, or DDs, or PBs for your ASW?

OK i set my planes to 40%ASW 40%train and 20%rest.
We will see how it is working.
I do not counting on any hits but at lest subs will waste her time to try avoid planes and ASW TF`s rather attack my Cargo TF`s

I have also set two planes groups to 40%search 40%train and 20%rest.
They will fly on 15 hex range. Most of allied subs i have encounter was close to shore but i think that some of them could be deeper in sea

I do not know about Pax but i am using SC and PB to ASW duties.
I do not want use DD to this job. DD have different job to do.

On game start i have converted about 40+ xAK`s and xAKL`s to PB so now i have sufficient number of PB`s

Yeah, I use SC's.  Fill with PB's only if I have to.  DD's are too precious for ASW.

I am starting Singer and Bataan assault soon and any help will be appreciated.

For now i using artillery and bombers(only one ride in 10 days i singer - bad weather) to soft defenders and give time to infantry to rest after shock attack on day one.
