Don wait for something big. Moving KB to that area do not mean i will use it. I am not sure if i even revile his presence.

What i learn so far is that KB is more dangerous for allies if they not know when KB is.

Huge naval traffic on Bengal Bay and south of Ceylon. I don`t see so many TF there in last 2 years. So far see only cargo ships but if only one TF will look like combat TF i will order full alert.

DEI
Fighters back to Ambon, This time for lose if 5 fighters i shot down 13 B-24.
No sweeps.

Dutch New India.
Allies sweep Hollandia. I lost 25 N1K2 and 7 K-84 (only 8 pilots KIA)
In return I shot down 8 P-47 and 6 P-38 and bombers 6 B-24, 12 A-20 and 10 Beaufort

China
N1K2 sweep Chengtu. 4 N1K2 lost, they shot down 14 enemy planes. After them bombers arrive and probably close AF.

Aleutian Islands
From weeks my subs where paroling those waters. Almost everyday i have reports about CVE TF on ASW mission in waters south of Adak. Always intel is showing 4-10 ships. Only bombers no fighters on TF.

Tomorrow Mini KB (120 planes) will take position ~400nm south of Adak and if have luck with weather 70 bomber will launch to attack. I am now 18 hexes from Adak - undetected.

I am almost sure that there is at lest one CVE - Long Island

Actually it was good day.


Burma

Ki-84 sweep Chittagong. They shotdown 31 enemy figters for lose of 12 own and 9 pilots


CL TF sweep Ramree Island. Instead of Cargo TF they find 7 Fletcher's. It was one of those days when Fletcher not fight at 100%.
Two Fletchers sunk, third heavy damage. Plus Japan don`t loose any of ships. DD Shimakaze will need probably two weeks in shipyard (sys and flood below 30, no fires)

So far i sunk 16-18 Fletchers

Planes detect enemy CVE TF East Diego Garcia.I lost FP from CAP. I watching closely. They are probably only hunting my subs. But in no time they can change in to allied death star.

I get report that DD Pringle sunk after battle in Ramree Island day ealier

Finally today bombers fly. CVE Long Island go down.
MKB will return home. No single plane or pilot lost. I am also happy because all pilots flying that mission where green trained by me. 50XP, 70naval

South of Adak

After sinking CVE Long Island MKB decide to retreat SW. Docup send at lest 3 TFs of DEs to intercept. They where close but MKB manage to avoid it.

But situation is not good. 1 TF(2xDE) is 1 hex SW of MKB one(2xDE) is 1 hex NW of it. Unlucky weather again stop bombers from flying

I have not SAG to support MKB but i have enough firepower to break trough that.
Because i am almost sure that only ship Docup have there are Evarts-class DEs. I will will be able to survive any encounter.
Evarts-class DEs have only 3 × single 3"/50 Mk.22 dual purpose guns and no torpedoes i
have in total 44x12cm guns. Plus my ships are equal with speed.

I decide to do that old fashion style. I will move strait West toward Japan at full speed

During air phase MKB was attacked by 7 Liberators. 5 shot down, 2 last miss targets.

Quiet. But strangely it looks that Docup is moving ~80k troops from Burma to Ramree Island. It looks that Docup is moving them elsewhere
I wonder where he plane to use them if not in Burma

N. Pacific.
I manage to avoid Docup DEs. 6 more Liberators shot down. I saw big convoy sailing to Adak. Ships look like cargo ships but i dont want to risk closing to Adak to much. I have only 40 fighters flying CAP.

South Pacific
Allies land on Tabiteuea. My boys hold two shock attack but i think tomorrow i will lose base.
DDs bombard Tarawa destroying ~20 and damaging over 40 bombers. Base is closed.

I know that You guys don`t know whole picture but i spend some time thinking about where are Allied carriers.

Firs some data.
Allies should have currently ~600 CV/CVL capacity and ~1100 CVE capacity.
So total it is ~1700 planes. Against that i can send 1180 CV/CVL force.

With high probability i can tell that allies have no carriers in north Pacific. I am pretty sure Docup would use them during last few days when MKB was visiting Adak

There was also no carriers during his landing in Tabiteuea. Or they are hidden behind search range or Docup decide to land without air cover. I will say that there was no carriers because Docup told me that invasion was canceled few times because i detect them to early so, hi was afraid of LBA.

Marianas currently can be difficult to allies. Big area between Marianas and nearest friendly base mean that i can detect them early enough to ready defenses and have KB in position. Speed of CVE will also not help allies and without them landing there is impassible.

Coral Sea. It look that Docup lose interest in that area. No movement from 4 months.
To move forward he need carrier there but no sight of them from months

Timor area. No fleet carriers but i know that at lest 4-5 CVE are in Darwin
So far Docup moving here without CV support but soon he will need them if he want to take bases north of Banda Sea

Java and Sumatra. Any move there like in Marianas will require full CV commitment. Early detection plus that Docup is forced to use CVE to have numbers should give me 3 days warning before landing. But also Java/Sumatra landing will give allies chance to short war by few months. Most probable is landing in north Sumatra. Quick jump from Diego Garcia is passable to do. Also i know that there are some carriers in that area. I saw CV TF between Ceylon and Diego Garcia.

Any suggestions, advices?

Mostly quiet day.
Tabituea hold another shock attack but i don`t think they will hold another one. Garrison is reduced to 50AV against 400AV. I hate auto bombardment. It is not logical for me.

In china two Chinese Corps attack my 200AV regiment. I bomb from air them before atack so i mange to reduce Chinese AV from 650 to 300. 80 japanise soldier KIA vs 1600 Chinise.

Tone bombard Lautem but AF was empty. Now will return to home base for repairs.

In tree days Unryu will rejoin with KB in Singapore. I need to find better home for my carriers. Singer is to obvious place to anchor them especially in B-29 era. I have 100 fighters flying CAP be we all know - 4E always get trough.

I am looking for place from where i can be in all important to me places in less that 72h.
By important i mean Sumatra/Java/Timor and secondary places in 120-144h- places like Marianas/Salomon Sea/Marshals.

Any suggestions.

First time from weeks Docup reckon Chiang Mai. I decide to send fighters. I need to trust my guts more. Allied sweep base and after them Liberator come. And after them more sweeps.
I first time fight against P-47D25.

I mess up with settings and some units have range 4 instead of 0. It not only spread my CAP but also some fighters where engaged by sweeps and bombers over yellow road East of Chiang Mai.

There was also liberator raid over Tavoy

At end of day i lost 82 fighters(30 pilots KIA) but CAP shot down 18 allied fighters and 42 Liberators

This time i have enough time to climb abowe sweeps. Only P-47 as usual slaughter Japanese CAP

What is important. At end of day Japan lost 43 Fighters (12 pilots KIA) Allies pay high price 18 F4U-1A, 10 Spitfires VIII and 8 P-47D2.

Quiet. First allied unit enter hex occupied by Japanese troops i Yellow road East of Chiang Mai just behind Thai border. I have there 1100AV but half of that are Thai units. 750 Of elite Japanese(troops+tanks)troops stuck in Chiang Mai trying to cross river to main road south. They shoul arrive to defese line in 6-8 days.

This is race for live. I see ~80k troops moving toward me.

I think i winn with allied subs on Andaman Sea. I suspecting 4-6 subs sunk more damage. Last few enter open ocean last turn running toward India

No allied planes above Chiang Mai. That good because i decide give all my boys in Burma free day. I had only small CAP flying above Rangoon. Tommarow I back to action.

9 ship CA SAG was spotted north of Ramree island. All ships and planes in area are i full alert. I think Docup only want to cover his cargo ships loading/unloading in Ramree, but i need to be ready

Timor/Aambon
Also Quiet. Docup is bombing isolated garisons. Last turn he kild two LCUs i have in dot bases. Can do nothing about that.

Salomon Sea
I bomb AF NW of Port Moresby. Over 15 allied 2E destroyed, 40+ damaged. No allied CAP

Saumlaki
My boys on island fighting in Jungle. They survive another shock attack. Bu AV is down to 0. Island have fighters already.

North Pacific.
Subs detect small cargo TF sailing toward islands Wast of Adak.
MKB turnaround. I should be there in 72h.

China
Small offensive in South China meet my defenders. I have ~1500AV in area against ~2500AV on Chinese side. Reinforcements on move. No danger right now.

ID manage to cross river south of Chiang Mai. With gray road they should join defenders in north in ~5 days. Tanks still fighting with river. At speed of 4 miles days they still have 14 miles to march before cross it. Another ID is marching from Maumulein but that will take 3 weeks before arrive. Also another ID will land soon in Bangkok and will be railed north.

Enemy have already 4 units in hex. Only 2k of troops but over 300 vehicles. So probably tanks and arty. I using last days of quiet to regain AV and build some forts. All infantry units are already behind fort 2 and arty behind 1. I think in that jungle road in next week or two fate of Burma will be decided.

Loses i can accept.

On ground allies Deliberate. RTA hold. Actually they give allies bloody nose. They will withdraw in 3 months but in x3 terrain they can proof to be decent units.

There was also naval action in Andaman Sea. Some DD and cruisers enter waters south of Rangoon. I lost single E. Last turn allies retreat because they close to much to LBAs.

Docup start moving B-29s. Two planes show up as ops loses today.

J2M5 advance to 6/44 (production will start ~10 May)

Status: offline 		I think i found new home for KB. Only temporary home for few months probably but i think it will work good.

Why that war starts? What is most important for Japan in this war. Fuel/oil and what comes with them supplies. It is all about them. After over week of watching map I decided that Pacific will be secondary area of this war (mostly because huge allied CV loses). Empire will defend Pacific but all major forces will concentrate on oil wells.

Priority will come to defend DEI, from North Sumatra to West New Guinea.
But I will not abandon Pacific. Defense in this war will focus on two totally different tactics.

DEI defense will be based on mobility and ability of fast reaction of Japanese Naval and Air forces. Ground forces are going to be secondary one. I will want to intercept any attempt of major invasion on DEI before it will land, do as much damage to invasion, and maybe sunk some ships withs troops reducing their offensive capabilities on ground and give some chance to me in ground battle. For that i need reaction time to invasion between 2-3days.

On the other hand will be Pacific where defense will be based on static LCU/LBA defense.
I have all major point almost ready to fight. Their job will be to hold long enough to allow KB arrive in ~6-7 days or 9-10days if it will be North Pacific. I already decide not fight for Marshals or Salomon Sea. Only North New Guinea and everything North of Truk will fight to last soldier

So my decision is to re base KB and probably 90% of IJN to Billiton. Why that base.
Billiton have already build up AF so i can protect it against B-29 (at lest i can try). Base is outside Liberators and enemy fighter range. Have no major Industry or Oil wells so chance of bomber visit is minimal. We can call that base not important.
Billiton have central position in DEI. I can be in 72h in North Sumatra, it is only 24h from South Sumatra and Java, 48h from Timor/Ambon. and 72h from New Guinea. I know i can be hit with B-29 even if base will not be reckoned. It can be blind shot. But right now with B-29, there is no base outside range so it is batter to be closer to enemy than further

Even if i go after ghost invasion KB and entire fleet can be easily refueled in this area even without AO TF. AO TF will wait on Pacific to refuel KB when he arrive there after long trip.

I will not split KB. Allies already have 1500+ CV planes (I have 1100) and in every weeks this number is bigger. So all or nothing.
I am playing all-in. I have 50/50 chances DEI or Pacific. If i was in Docup skin i will land in North Sumatra. Cut off me from Fuel and oil and then concentrate on destruction of Japanese industry. I don`t think i will be able to defend more that 1 year without resources from DEI. In my opinion any Pacific Invasion will be waste of time because i still will be able to pump
resources and fuel to Japan and Obverts game proof that Strategic bombing of HI will be costly and long campaign without 100% sure it will be victorious fast enough

What Do You guys think about that.

PS. I have some doubts about that decision. Deep inside i feel i will pay huge price for that. What is worry me is huge increase on Allied activity in North Pacific. It is Holly Mary move, but under beta it can be final punch for Japan if Docup land on Hokkaido. LBA alaone cant stop Him. With KB in DEI Docup will have enough time to Land 10 IDs on Island and be gone before i will arrive. And once Allies land it will be impassible to re take island. Not in 1944.

Advices, I need all of them. Smart ones, stupid ones, all.

I need to tell that. It is important that You know that if i not reduce Sumatra/Java invasion when they are on ships Islands will fall to allied hands in weeks.
Sumatra have ~1500AV garrison total (3xID, 1 Tank Div and some small units)
Java only 600AV (ID and some small units)

Status: offline 		You reasoning is good if it were 43, but it's now mid-44.

If you have good HI stores and decent reserves of fuel, which you do, I would concentrate on anything that could put 4E in range of the HI. The oil/fuel will keep moving even with a landing in Sumatra. You still have Borneo and Java and if protected Palembang will keep pumping until he actually takes it. Any oil/fuel you get to the HI after 1/45 is frosting.

The biggest danger to your economy is not losing the oil/fuel at this point, it's losing the factories that make supply and planes. If you remember Jocke only started bombing these in late 44. He had hit all of the DEI industry by then, but when the flights over the Home Islands began knocking out industry it was harder and harder to supply defensive forces, upgrade or replenish air groups and simply to fight.

If he is coming in the North, make it the decisive battle. If he comes in the South he still has to move up North and invade again to get near your industry. It's getting late. Protect the North and Cent Pac and make him take the long road.

You are probably right. I will need few days to re think it again. First what i can think of if maybe one of these bases in North-East Borneo. I still will be ~4 days from North Sumatra but also i can be in ~4 days in Marianas and trip to north will take now 7-8 instead 10-12 days. In late summer I will be more willing to move KB even more NE.

To be able to react properly i can concentrate all search subs in opposite ends of Empire. Half in IO, half in North Pacific. It will give me some chance to detect invasions before they enter LBA search range.

Damn, it is hard.

Japanise fighters sweep Tabiteuea. I lost 30 fighters for 30 on allied side.
I use this time 50XP pilots to test how they behave in combat. They are ok when flying Ki-84. In George it not go so well
