Modwise, I wonder how will they be generated. My bet is a img of vertical beam streched from point A(spacehip1) to point B(target). If so, it would create an array of new modding possibilities, for example boarding party beams ( with tiny marines flying through the transparent beams) etc. Was any info concerning that released?

No real info or screenshots about new weapons has been released yet as far as I know. My guess is pretty same as yours, Kalthaniell.
Beams probably last couple of secs and do their full damage over that time. 3 sec beam, max damage is 30 so DAM/S is 10. Just my thought.

Hate to say it, but it may be time to lock this thread and restart it. This one has been completely hijacked and ruined at this point. It's been mostly off topic for most of the 3 pages now.

Some people seem to need attention, even if it is bad attention.

Yeah, if Chuck Norris was a spaceship, that's what he would do all the time.

Great movie if you ask me. Made my childhood so much better; Saw it when I was about six years old and it was the absolute best movie in the world for me back then. Still love it!
It's kinda cult classic and the first movie that used computer graphs like that, if I remember right. Yes, it looks dated but it's still so very great. You should definetly see the whole movie if possible, Woodman.
I have the old VHS of it but it lacks some scenes. Stupid commercials...
I've been looking for the bluray or DVD version but it's rarity here in Europe, especially in Finland. Yes, I could DL it from the 'nets but I rather have true classics on my shelves rather than on my hard-drive.

I would be so very grateful to anybody who would model just the Gunstar into the game! Gunstars as cutters for my empire would be so great!
One of my favourite space ships of all time.
