It was a battle played very well by Rbrunsman.

In the early turns I moved two recon groups to the woods at the northem and southern edges of the map. Their task was to mine the woods and discover/destroy enemy recons.

Panzers would reach the two recon groups to move further to the VH and engage enemy tanks.

I suppose that no enemy tank will venture in the two forests, so the two groups are light armed.

In the centre, I had placed AT-guns to destroy enemy armors if they push forward in the wide open no man's land.

RB had the same idea, but his recon groups are more powerful than mine, with many halftraks, well armed jeeps and supported by light tanks.

So he capture the two woods destroying the most part of my infantry and fills the area around the VHs with arty smoke.

The game goes on, but I was defeated since the early turns, because there is not an easy way for my tanks to reach VHs through low visibility areas well defended by US infantry.

Rbrunsman infantry and light armors have won this battle, he had no need to use his tanks.

Good luck for your next game Rbrunsman!

Thanks Brutto-Bob.

Does anyone have any comments on how I post DARs? I don't want to be boring, but I also don't want to give away any intel on my own positions/movements that my opponent may not be aware of. So, I tend to talk alot about what I see of my opponent but nothing of my own situation. (example, I never mentioned until the last turn that I had Wolverines ready to attack B-B's panzers if necessary).

Any thoughts?

I think you're doing well, rb :)
When I'm posting, I also like to tell some about what I'm trying to do and what I see, and how I react to that. And taunt my enemy. Taunting is fun :D
As well as it's great fun to read DAR's where people are cocky and humoristic in success, and humble in defeat. (humor goes for the last one as well... always cracks me up reading funny posts about people admitting that it's not going too well ;)

If I'm to out some names; Irinami, Don Doom, VikingNo2, Cap'n Pixel, Scharfschütze are some of the now-active players that I think put a nice twist to their posts.

And Bernie and Goblin, wherever they are :(
