I have signed up for the New league on combat command t. The pacfic one in 1942. I have never played another person besides friends and family hotseat. Is it dificult to play TCP/IP and PBEM. I realy like the thought of playing more people but I have heard good and bad about it. And most here on this board usualy post helpful things I have found. Specialy when reading it and i dont have to ask a stupid ? Any advice would be nice on what to expect or do. I have read the manual . But i have noticed a tendency for alot manual vs real thing Gaps in various games. And i any post some advice Ill Say thanks now instead of later.

Expect the un-expected!! I mostly play the AI and when I play humans I'm always suprised when they show up where they shouldn't be. Humans are very tricky and devious - I'm glad I'm an alien!! Actually, the one thing that stands out to watch out for is Artillery - it's a BIG equalizer and most people like to use it to soften up your troops before sending in theirs to clean up. So, don't take a position and just hold it - they will beat you every time. Figmo

there is no comparison between playing the AI or a human. the human factor makes the game extremely exciting and unpredictable. No player is like another thus you are exposed to many tactical styles. I learn how to use my troops and equipment by watching what my opponents have done to me. Can't learn too much from the AI.
