Not too much to rant about anymore.... the boys have really fixed most of the really brutal issues that plagued WITP with AE. Really impressed. Now we just need a scenario that starts with Japan on the defensive @ Aug 42 to 1946. I have not had any time to continue on the one I was working on. I have AE Deluxe but only have time for AI games....psses the time but... Would be an OK Player vs Japanese AI scenario me thinks.

Ron. Since you live there, just how bad IS the Greek economy? It seems to frighten all of Europe, which in turn frightens us, which in turn screws with my IRA. Have the bozos voted themselves into bankruptcy? Should I put my remaining money under my matress? Inquiring (and retired) minds want to know.

It's very bad, and once the Greek people vote down the government's EU-incurred economic rescue plan in the upcoming referendum (which they almost certainly will) it'll get much worse.

I'd gathered that the Socialist pinheads who live there just couldn't bring themselves to believe that the rest of the world didn't owe them a comfortable living (much like our "Wall Street" protesters)..., but I'd wondered if there were enough "realists" left in the country to make any difference.

Welcome back, Ron.

I still think you're doing things backwards, Greek Isles in the Winter and Canada in the Summer would be much more comfortable.

PS. I'd also love to hear any first hand insight you might have on the Greek economic "situation."

Well guys, my ferry leaves in a few hours so I've no time to enlighten you on the situation right now. When I get back to my igloo (after a few Molson's and some chicken wings while watching a hockey game in my local) I'll fill you in. Then I'll give you any pertinent travel info so we can talk in person over a few mojitos, rumrunners, marguaritas etc after you've flown over here to support the economy and spoil yourselves. Must keep the WITP talk to a minimum if babes are about...they think it's kinky!

I'm fine and dandy, Ron. I'm appreciating AE more and more each day. I'm in my third PBEM match and hope there will be another dozen in the coming decade or two. It's plenty of game for me.

Now, Ron, why don't you challenge Bullwinkle to a match. I believe both of you guys are currently AI only, so you're each available, your each frozen northerners, and it sure would be fun to see you square off. Somebody needs to show Bullwinkle a thing or two!

Plain as day when explained..., but it certainly came across as a total non sequetor.

Hi all,

Ron, are you back in Canada for good (i.e. is Greek odyssey finished)?
