It's the best cliche we're not taking advantage of here! With the intense levels of care and immersion that have already gone into this game, I long to see how a rebellious AI or perhaps a race of Machines might be portrayed some day in a future expansion, or sequel..

Remember that's what the Mechanoids (Ancient Guardians) are in ROTS. Imagine just tweaking the races.txt file so they become an expanding race and start colonizing! Oh boy!

I've honestly got sick and tired of "evil robots" cliche. It's relatively rare to see good or even neutral AI races in SciFi. Latest I can remember are the Geth from Mass Effect; The conversations with the Legion are genuinely interesting and I never get tired of them.
Well, Ancient Guardians are AI, but you can't play them. And they are a bit too much "lawful good" kind of AI.
Though, in defence of evil AIs there's always the magical abbreviation "HK-47", Shodan and GLADOS.

If there's to be a playable race of AI in DW I sure damn hope that they are neutral.

I could care less for their "alignment" so to speak, so long as they are interesting. I don't find the Ancient Guardians very interesting. They kind of make me mad, actually. Smug bastards.

If Matrix integrate my creature successfully in game, you will get "evil robots", but very small.
