Good morning friends.

And a good day to you, Per.

At the Fresh Market this morning and saw they had some lingonberry jelly. Got a wild hair and decided to make some Swedish meatballs. It is October, after all. Got some ground veal and ground pork from Publix, fresh dill from the herb patch, and off to the races. Only bitch is grating the onion. Don’t like to waste things, so there’s maybe a bit of JWE knuckle in the mix; not enough to poison anyone.

Gonna serve it on egg noodles with a side of marinated cucumbers. Yes, Per, I’m using real euro-cumbers and fresh dill. 3 hours in the fridge (I did add a bit of sour cream and cardamom to the marinade).

Thought of doing a gravlax with dill, lemon, and cream cheese on schwarzbrot for starters, but there’s only two of us, Mom doesn’t eat much, so the thought will have to count.

Can you think of anything I’m missing? Your thoughts would be real nice for next time.

Ciao. JWE

I think you're doing it quite right!

Well then, I will bow to the real Swedish chef.

Thank you, Per. I'll see if I can't get some pics. Am pretty excited about getting this right. Mom's a right 1930s-40's German kinda gal and has this hunger for honest to gosh "food". I try my best to accommodate. Sometimes, it floats my boat, as well. Will report on the results.

Ciao. JWE

Watching the England game on TV, because I have no turns. England v Poland, complete with over excited, yet mediocre, commentary.

EDIT: It's half time and they are talking about Wayne "Shrek" Rooney's headband. This is poor. Might have to talk to Mrs Dixie at this rate.

Seeing as I'm playing as Japan, I think the most pertinent thing I can say here is:

Hahahahaha!

Well off for home to some sour cream chicken soup I cooked up on Sunday. A good olde Bohemian dish. Lovin' it.
Night.

I’m traveling through another dimension -- a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's a signpost up ahead: my next stop: the Twilight Zone!
I unlock that door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. I’m moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. I've just crossed over into... the Twilight Zone.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to gorn. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which some call "The Twilight Zone".

I think I’m going to get outta here! The thread? The Moirai are here spinning it and if I’m not careful I’ll be spun into it, perhaps as a nit to be picked. I will flee this place, never to return. (applause from everyone)
