The fight near Chengtu seems incredible -- how can the Japanese have taken so few casualties?

Regarding supply in China, have you been able to get supply moving up from Singapore? Or by any other method or route?

Near Chengtu, last turn the Chinese unit crossed the river and went into this turn with 41% disruption. I'm sure the disruption was the reason for their performance. Under more usual circumstances that kind of disruption would allow the enemy to pummel them, but the trapped unit has no fight left in it. The Chinese unit will just keep attacking and I assume disruption will go down every turn anyway. I forgot to check it this turn.

I have managed to get 76,000 supply to move to a point on Malaya with the SoPac Command HQ, but no more. And worse, not all of that came from Singapore! So I have some shipping starting to chip away at it on cargo runs.

In hindsight, only a big horde with attendant Command HQ would have done it, the same as got the supply there.

China west. We will now send units after the other, larger, zombie pocket. That will take our troops two hexes away from roads.

Questions questions questions... your devoted audience wants to know.

Additionally how are your Bomber pools managing along ?

You have had on / off / on / grounded due to weather / on / off bombing runs on Tokyo now for 30 odd days.

Lots of fires and I can only imagine that the Empire is in horrendous shape supply / production wise.

Lots of 4E Bombers in the pool now commuting to the Mariana's given its May 1945 ??

<< history tidbit >>

XXI Bomber Command reached its full strength in April when the 58th and 315th Bombardment Wings arrived in the Marianas; at this time the command comprised five wings equipped with a total of 1,002 B-29s and was the most powerful air unit in the world

I do not presuppose you have that many units on the tarmac but the pools must have recovered since the losses in DEI circa 1943 1944 ??

Marianas? The only places being bombed from the Marianas are the Bonins. The 4EB striking the HI are based in Formosa and Hokkaido. B-29 pools are in terrible shape, with many squadrons below and even far below TOE. I still have a bunch of squadrons with B-29-1 that I am slowly upgrading to B-29B (the night variant), which means a lack of replacements for the B-29B squadrons on line. The B-24 groups really added punch to the HI strikes. Medium pools are low. Fighter pools are excellent, to the point where many are being used in the FB role (why they are in a bomber pools answer).

Fair enough and thanks..

I meant Mariana's not in terms of where you would base them; rather where they would fly through on the way to your preferred bases.

Do they show up in Seattle ? I have never checked the dbase/incoming groups lists that late into the war ?

i.e. do the 58th and 315th arrive in Seattle then you >> Pearl >> Mariana's >> Home Island for example ?

Needless to say from you comments; while pools are okay not really 1000 units sitting awaiting orders.
