It will be interesting to see if Matrix will even reply.

The game only needs minor tweaks. Developers showed up briefly and then poof, gone. Just stand up and tell us you are done with the game, or yes we are working on it. From what I can tell no one has made personal attacks on anyone, if anything, we like the game, and want to see it get better.

Ok, that's my New Year complaint for the day. Take it away guys, raise your star count for a legitimate cause.

Of course some of you don't need it, but hey it's still for a good reason. Where's Junk2drive when you need him.

I think that when Matrix stops supporting a game, they should release the source code under GPL lic so if users want to fix or enhance the game they can. Doom 3 source was released but not the data files so you still need to buy the game to play it. I think Matrix might sell a few more older games they don't want to spend time/money on improving. Let the community do the work. Similar to mods for other games. Even a indie game company, Spider Web Software, release the code to Blades of Exile because he didn't want to spend the time updating it to work with newer operating systems.

Anyway, just a thought and I think everyone would win.

-Mike

Mike, that would be great, but I have a feeling Matrix won't give the code up yet. So keep posting, til we hear something. Thanks!

Yep map looks much better with his changes, and it's awful nice of him to even bother with this game that has NO support.

(okay I'm gonna clog up the matrix servers with meaningless gibberish until they order a cease and desist)

(actually its klingon for where are the devs)
(and if I was klingon I would have no need for a withdrawl option anyways).

perhaps we need to setup a facebook page asking if anyone has seen michael cooney?

You know no one ever responded to Joe's Taliban thread. Maybe this place is running on autopilot since Christmas. Usually they shut down political threads asap.

Of course if anybody can get a response it's the AgentS/Max86 team. Where's Ray Stevens when you need him.

Even if Matrix or the Development team ignore us, if we can keep it up, at least it's a minor embarassment. Like they said all game related problems need to be dealt with in the forums. So here we are and where are they?

Politely, always politely.

I wish I was half as clever as some of you guys here. All I know how to do is be persistent and complain.

There is another issue in the PBEM game I'm playing against Joe. I notice flashes, and poof, my unit is gone. I don't know if it was naval gunfire or a direct assault. I also noitced I can't move some AT units. I think your fort level has to be reduced to zero before they are allowed to move. Maybe this turn I can move those suckers if they haven't already been overrun by Atilla the Hun. Tim, Michael, any comments? I can't ask support, they won't answer "game" related questions. Thanks.

There are a few scenarios, where some units cannot move. I suspect that it is meant to be a stationary defence position However the player doesn't know this till you wish to move it. The player ought to be told by some means.

As for AT units, if you click on the unit and look at the usual menu on the left, Withdraw is not there. Instead if you right click, and look at the pop up menu, withdraw is an option.

The left menu is inaccurate for AT units.

Not including the non-core Matrix titles like "Officers" (ugh), CCME probably wins the award for the most "ignored" game with the most potential. I just don't think it has a large enough following. But give me a patch, then some kind of campaign and more definition in unit specs and I'll buy the next expansion

Reporting in as requested by Matrix Support, that all "game" issues be addressed in the forums. Withdrawal bug, occasional freezes, still not fixed.

Of course there has to be someone here to address. Thanks.

Too bad the rules can't be put into some kind of configuration file so they could be adjusted depending on the scenario and unit types.

Just call us the Lost Company of Combat Command Matrix Edition.

Fix the bugs Matrix, they are minor from where I sit, but serious enough that many people have shelved the game. I could be wrong, but how the heck would I know, there ain't anyone around to tell me it can't be fixed. Shoot, we even have people who volunteered to fix it, and they can't even get the courtesy of being told an answer one way or the other.

Thanks for complaining guys!
