As much as I adore your dedication (), I am really afraid, it will be never played. Who would have the time to do? However, it's your decision ;) The problem to enforce a Russian stand instead of an early retreat: TOAW doesn't simulate politics. It was unthinkable to just give up the whole Ukraine (and, of course, not known, that a stand would lead to such a desaster). The FitE-player doesn't have to think about morale of the people, an outraged Stalin/party etc. and he knows very well about the fighting capacity of the Wehrmacht. So what to do? To give VPs is nice, but hey - how many FitE-games were played to the end? And who would say "let the Germans come to Moscow, the 40 VPs for holding Minsk to weeks longer are more important!" I think you would have to set a real threat to an early retreat: Defeat. Let's say a sudden death occurs, if Germany gets Minsk, Odessa and Smolenks before end of August - German victory. Suddenly the Russians would fight to stand their ground, like in real life. Just an idea, though
