I apoligize for posting this here, and the mods may feel free to delete and/or move this. I just was not sure where else to turn and this seemed to be the best place to obtain help at.

Some of you may know that I have a Masters in American History and completed my thesis in early 2001. My thesis is on the evolution of carrier doctrine and warfare between the world wars and its direct impact on the Pacific War of the Second World War. Although my thesis was good enough to get aproved, I was told it probaly was not good enough to get published.

I've seen gone back to school for a second Masters, this time in Library Science, as I was unable to obtain a full time post in the places I wanted. Therefore, I'm out of touch with the people who I worked with on desigining my thesis.

I know many of you are avid history and/or wargaming buffs, and this is where my request for help comes in. I'm looking for people who are willing to accept a e-mailed copy of my thesis, read it, and offer feedback. I want to get feedback so I can make changes to it and so I can get it published. I don't want it to be a high brow journal.....I need the thesis to be understood by someone with a basic knowledge of history and the Pacific War.

There are several pages devoted to the period covered in this game. :) And there is equal tratement of both the United States and Japan. The whole thing is about 100 pages. There would be no time limit on when you would need to respond to me.

If you are willing to help out, please reply here so and give me your e-mail addy so I can send the file. The thesis was done in Word.

Many thanks.

I'm slowly reading through it, and found myself raising eyebrows with some of your assertions (in a good way, my friend). I'll make some notes between pastings via PBEM (Mogami is playing "Hide the US CV Assets" with me in one game, and I'm testing the hypothetical "what if the US lost Midway" scenario in another (i.e. I'm getting my butt kicked).

Carrier development fascinates me, and any matierial is like Crack Cocaine.
