O2: Wow 3 out of 10 airlines are from the European Group.  You guys are doing great.
Full of Air is still there killing off some upstarts in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Careful, we have a new member flying Asia. Try not to stomp him. Let's just say we have a bit of a reputation over there now.

That just means there are 7 more slots in the top 10 for you, and the rest of the alliance, to join us.

Word to the wise........Do not use the DCH-7 as a replacement for the F27 prop plane. Not worth it.

Status Update

European Group is proud to announce that we now the most powerful Alliance in the world. We are the number 1 ranked alliance with the following:

12 members (with 5 airlines in the top 20 and 3 in the top 10)
131 HUB's which allow pax to reach anywhere in the world
3,147 unique destinations
Valued at 467.5 billion dollars

We are now the force to be reckoned with (well we have always been the force to be reckoned with) but now all other airlines think long and hard before challenging us in any way (those that have survived any length of time). Only upstarts really annoy any of our member airlines now a days. And they get a warning sent to them, then they get a spanking if they fail to be nice.

Alright posting this here for all of you to see and comment.

There is a new start up airline in O2 asking for serious guidance. I am feeling charitable, but want advice. Should we take him under our wing and teach him the game while we protect him from the big bad wolves out there? Since most are sort of afraid of us. LOL

This would allow us to groom another prospective member and teach them our way of doing things. Place your votes gents.

I vote yes and will take it upon myself to do most of the guiding and protecting. But I cannot share control of his airline because I am also running Crash and Burn.

Based in the US out of SFO........Virgin America............Oh, not going to reveal any of our trade secrets. Sent PM, no response yet to it.

Looking at his airline list in his profile, he might actually be a former airline that told me to shove it when I asked him in PM if he really thought spamming my routes was a wise thing to do. That airline crashed and burned shortly thereafter.

The first thing you may wish to cover with him is "temperament".

I will defer to your judgment in this matter.

Siebenburgen Airlines update. (R5)

Dec. 1992:

The airlines is a beehive of activity. Key members of operations and management have been brought together to the operations flight center (OFC) on some special project. Members have been sworn to secrecy but they have been working around the clock. Pizza deliveries at all hours off the day and night are becoming commonplace. Coffee has been flowing uninterrupted. Staff that leaves the OFC are bleary-eyed.

Employees throughout the company sense something is afoot. Dozens of additional planes have been brought in and strategically deployed at airline locations. Ground crews have been working around he clock on maintenance. The planes are prepared, and then sit idle. Additional plane crews have been hired on to fly these planes.

Rumors swirl. Eventually, the words "Brilliant Cobra" leak out. What this means however is anyone's guess.

S1:
MEUS are ranked #2, well ahead of #3 but far behind #1. MEUS have the largest fleet, but #1 Fly America have more jets.

R5:
MEUS boast more planes than anyone else and are now ranked #2. Aero Brasil won't stay number 1 for long.

O2:
Concord play things' are gone, replaced by profitable 747s. Elsewhere newer planes are replacing older planes, though the fleet as a whole is aging slowly.

A check of about 20 routes out of Kuwait gave 19 results flow by Air France. The one exception was owned by Buffalo.

MEUS ranked 13th with the 11th largest fleet. 12th will be achieved, but further progress looks doubtful as time as attention is diverted to other worlds.

LOL.......well, it is even worse at AYT, IST, SAW in Turkey.......I would not even attempt it. I am all over those dudes.

New member in O2.......I am protecting and guiding him thru the learning curve. Virgin America so let's not stomp him while I try to turn his airline around. I have already surrendered 2 money routes to him.

This is a war alert for all members in O2 world. Airline ranked number 97 has managed to piss me off with spamming of my routes. They will be destroyed. KMT something.

If you have routes with above airline, be prepared to drop prices on those routes massively or see me come onboard at 10 bucks a ticket..............I will crush this twerp or make them beg for mercy. I am sending out the warning PM to above airline and they will have 24 hours to respond. If no response, they die.

D-Day for Operation Brilliant Cobra is tomorrow. H-Hour is tentatively set for 7pm EST.

I may be a bit pre-occupied with that.

But if time allows, I will do what I can to assist with your trouble.

I already know that one.......that was before we spoke earlier.

Trouble? Right, don't think so, just letting everyone know that I am on the warpath soon and be look before trying to match prices, it might be me chasing that airline down for the kill.

Mobeer - for some reason when I research a route you fly, I am not given any PAX numbers for the routes, is that something you have "checked" in some sort of settings?

I have noticed he same thing.

I think it is some sort of stealth computer hack he had secretly implemented.
Keep them in the dark on intelligence and that makes their job twice as difficult.

I don't see the graph either in R2 once my flights are added to a route. But in S1 and R5 the graph appears just fine; maybe the newer worlds have a fix in place?

The only times I have seen (or should I say not see) the passenger stats glitch is with Meus, in both worlds O2 and R5.

Siebenburgen Airlines

Flight operations enter

Supreme Commander (M)ike, leader of Operation Brilliant Cobra is sitting in the flight operations center. His staff is feverishly going over all the last second details for the upcoming mission. The clock is counting down on H-hour. (M)Ike is only concerned with one thing: will the weather allow flight operations to commence. A call is placed to the meteorological office. They are placed on hold. The grizzled old chief meteorologist is looking over the charts, he walks over and looks out the window. "Bring me the latest updates from that dang computer they gave us!". An intern scurries over to their gem of a weather computer, the latest model MGC-8-BL. He pulls a printout from it are scurries over to the veteran meteorologist. He takes one look at the words written across it: 'The issue is in doubt'. He sighs "dang". He walks over to the telephone and takes it off hold. "Sorry (M)Ike, the weather is not going our way right now. I cannot recommend a 'go' for flight operations.

(M)Ike hangs up the phone and ponders, seemingly alone, for a few minutes, then announces, "We hold for 24 hours and see how the weather is tomorrow".

Okay, for all of us in R5........Mainly for the US people........watch for Starflyer and show some mercy to him. He is in another alliance, but he is extremely fair and will work with anyone on route issues (or he will with us). The airline is run by Chia Pet who is a long timer over there. I am sort of cultivating him for possible recruitment into our alliance long term.

He is also running a 2nd airline but I forgot the name of it. He knows that if we have a heavy contested route we will clobber everyone, but if it is just you 2 on the route, please PM and work out a deal with him on usage.

Thanks. As of now, he is the only true prospective member I am working on out of all the long term players over there. Not that I won't continue recruitment efforts as they come up.

Now a status up date:

O2......Air France still holds 5th place, currently 80 bil in the bank doing 280 mil a day. No response to PM but they also have not adjusted prices. So I still have my finger on the trigger.

R5.......Minnisota (yes I misspelled the name but it costs a lot of money to change) is climbing the food chain slowly. Currently ranked 35.

China Matrix is holding it's own. Facing stiff competition on a lot of routes and no response to any PM's. So been clobbering a few that have pissed me off.
