You need to try and get about 90 mil and put the lease on 10 747-200B. You got some great routes out of London Heathrow to the west cost US and Japan that if you do not grab them, one of us will.

We are talking 1100Y pax per day routes. LOL

Air France Feb 1971

Monthly goals. Receive another 747-200B on the 13th, will begin operations on Paris to LAX.

Primary goal, slowly buy a/c to reduce lease payments. Current goal is to reduce lease payments at a rate of 500,000 per month per day. Spending roughly 50 mil of the 60 mil we make each day. Coming lease payments will reach 64 mil per month. This is not to be allowed.

Continue to establish routes with no opposition to ensure a steady daily profit growth. Will strive for 200,000 per day growth.

Continue to monitor and consult with Alliance partners on local and strategic matters. Now that long haul a/c are starting delivery, the strategic operations will need to be closely monitored so that all markets are serviced and that conflicts do not occur.

Asking that all Alliance members please state current and future long haul flights so that we can make sure we do not conflict with each others plans. Please state arrival date of long haul a/c (747 series) and route. If the route is empty but your current a/c is not due for some time, please ask a Alliance member to place a a/c on that route to secure your location. If that member has the available a/c and it does not conflict with his time frame.

I have confirmed Speedy Air will be leasing up to 10 747-200B to begin flight operations from Zurich. All long haul flights to and from member HQ bases are designated for that member unless permission is granted otherwise. If a route is being flown to another members HQ base, the owning airport member can request to take over route for themselves.

These are simple requests so that we can avoid as many conflicts as possible with each others plans. We are not bound by political restrictions so it is too easy to start tripping over each other with these long range a/c coming on line.

Long haul flights will be designated as any over 4800 miles.

Current long haul route

747-200B CDG-ITM
Super VC-10 ORY-CTU planned replacement with 747-200B

Future long haul routes

Feb 13 1971 747-200B CDG-LAX
Mar 17 1971 747-200B CDG-LAX
Apr 21 1971 747-200B ORY-LAX
Jun 1 1971 747-200B ORY-SFO

Great. There are some super routes out of Heathrow. Please list like I did some kind of time frame and current long haul flights of 4800 mils and above so we can plan our moves.

NOTE........if a 747 hits the used market for some reason, we know plans can change rapidly and we will adjust as needed.

[Voiceover of this report by Sir Lawrence Olivier, using that "The World at War" tone].

Siebenburgen Air

Siebenburgen Air (aka "SB") started off with a stumble. The intent was to be based out of the Siebenburgen (aka Transylvania) region of Romania. In my hurry to start the game, I accidentally toggled the city of "Sibu" as my home base, rather than than "Sibiu". Some may ask what's the difference. Plenty. Sibu put me smack dab in the tropical jungles of Malaysia, rather than the intended cool mountain region and forests of Transylvania. Despite that unintended beginning to the campaign, I decided to soldier on. I started off with one Fokker F-27 prop plane. I decided on a strategy of flying under the radar. Utilize medium sized, secondary airports that the bigger powers overlook. Use only prop planes for economy. And the first intended mission was to develop a network across the spread out country of Malaysia.

I quietly managed to establish a network across Malaysia, avoiding the big airports, only taking on routes that we not being run by anyone ("Hit 'em where they ain't!"). My first two "international" forays were just across the border into Indonesia where I started flying into. Then, in the dead of night, the words of Horace Greeley flashed through my mind "Go west young man, go west". I decided that is where I will expand to, to the west. One quick glance at the map however revealed that the the west is the large empty Indian Ocean. OK then, I will go north! I kept my eyes and ears open, picking up strategy tips from the CEO of Air France.

I set up a base and route to southern Japan. Another to south central CHina. Even stretching at far as Anchorage Alaska, then setting up a few small puddle jumper routes. Onwards to Moscow, set up a base at Moscow's secondary airport. From there branch out to a few small airports in the Baltic and Ukraine. Were these moves the Schwerpunkt of Siebenburgen's efforts, or merely diversions to keep the enemy confused. Fly under the radar....hit 'em where they ain't.....building up assets (cash) for that day when opportunity strikes.Coordinating strategy with the Filipino allies that are FULL OF AIR.

Then it happened: December 1970. A routine reconnaissance foray into the used plane mart showed 144 CL-44s. They appeared as if out of nowhere. A quick message was sent to Air France to relay the news to the rest of the alliance, and then I worked feverishly leasing one CL-44 after another. When the dust had settled, and reports from across SB dribbled in, it was evident that we had managed a huge coup: 49 newly leased CL-44's. SB had more than doubled its air assets. No time to savor this small victory, for the moment that these planes were being delivered, newly hired staff was also arriving at the front lines: Managers, Flight Crews, Cabin Crews, Ground Crews, Mechanics, Agents and CSR's, Operations Personnel. The line of reinforcements never seemed to end. And with them, came an immense increase in payroll. I needed to get these newly acquired forces, deployed onto routes, so that they can start generating income, and taking it to the enemy. It was a seesaw battle: trying to get these new planes, new crews established. I saw my cash reserves declining. Have to get this done. Having to scout for empty routes that could easily be occupied. Establish a forward base, then immediately establish routes from that forward base back to as many of my existing gates as possible. Maximize my gains, use those gates to their full capacity. This campaign took just over a month (in gametime. Was approximately 12 hours of continuous RL time).

The SITPREPS were studied, number tabulated. When everything is said and done, in a little over a month, Siebenburge Air has greatly increased its air network; monthly earnings should be nearly triple what they were in December.

However, no time to celebrate. Need to tweak my routes; redeploy aircraft to maximize efficiency; be on the lookout for worthwhile aircraft that are dumped in the used plane market. There are still many concerns on the horizon. A behemoth airline, the Eire group, has moved into one of my routes and launched a price war. I simply match each reduction he makes. How long will it go on? How long can Siebenburgen Air manage to hold out against these dreaded Shamrock forces?

This is just the beginning of what will likely be a long drawn out air war for Siebenburgen Air and the European Group alliance.

No long hauls for SB..Just recently acquired my first few jets and they can't hit 4800 miles, even with the kitchen sink and everything else tossed out the hatch.

That's okay, did not know if you jumped on the 747 band wagon. Costs about 81 mil to lease 10 new ones for 10 years. Would allow you to reach out 6000 miles though.

Okay, we have added a new alliance member, XL Airways based in the UK. So far he looks to be running short haul routes with no conflict with me. He has been petitioning to join for awhile. I decided to allow him in and explained the "rules" to him. So watch out for him and feel free to give him a welcome aboard.

May 1971 Air France

Another major airline goes belly up and the feeding frenzy begins. Hundreds of routes are left vacant and we struggle to fill the void. Alas, we just cannot manage to fill the void alone. The last 9 days have been hectic for everyone at Air France. Hundreds of new routes are established, thousands of employees are hired. Terminals at Madrid and Paris see massive construction of gates. Paris increases from 15 gates to 50 gates and we are already at 95% capacity on those gates. Aircraft fleet increases from 480 to 645 with another 300 on order from the factories. Profits increase from 65 million a day to 78 million per day.

Another 300 divorces are filed this month due to long working hours. I have given the order to dispatch the lawyers. The lawyers are bleeding me dry, we may have to slow down op tempo. In addition to McD vouchers, we are giving all employees vouchers to Taco Bell for a free taco to help bolster morale. The ground crew union threw a fit over working hours and we resorted to firing the lot of them and hiring non union labor. To think they want more money and less hours. Our new employees are extremely happy to have jobs with benefits. To show them how much we care, we give them an extra voucher to Taco Bell for a free small drink.

The price wars continue with 1 route seeing the full retreat of an enemy airline. Flights are increased to pick up the extra passengers. Only 1 airline to go and that route will be all ours.

Payroll is becoming a concern though, we have topped 630 million a month.

2ndACR I am impressed with your turn toward the dark, but sensible side. Though I must admit to not understanding why you would even waste YOUR money on any food or drink voucher. Why not just direct your employee's to the nearest soup/food kitchen for their free snacks and coffee. That's what I do and my employee's are happy. I do provide them with reasonably priced transportation to the soup kitchen(still a profit there).

I hope you continue to rid the world of unneeded and evil unions.

Okay, 500 million bucks later..........and another 30-50 routes........and running out of gate space across the globe.......and watching payroll shoot thru the roof........I need a breather. LOL

Last 2 weeks game time, Air France has added several hundred a/c, several hundred routes, several thousand employees, we have seen our daily profit go from high 60 mil to over 90 million per day. We have invaded multiple enemy held routes and started many a price war. Some routes we undercut the enemy by 100 per seat. People will fly a prop plane for 4000 miles and 16 hours to save a few hundred bucks.

To keep employees happy with all the increased work load, Air France has decided to provide another voucher to Waffle House for a free cup of coffee.

Burp !...... After gorging myself in the dumpster of failed airlines to the tune of 1.7 billion and 204 aircraft I can safely say I am sated.

Buffalo Air went from 384 routes to 418 routes which is a pretty small amount but our daily profit went from 88+ mil to a whopping 120+ mil...Sadly our rank only improved from53 to 48......

Our payroll has bloated itself to over 500 mil which is about even with our advertising.

Soon, Buffalo Air is going to be no more. We cannot be a regional line with close to 1000 aircraft. Once that magic number hits the name will be changed to Globus Airline

Cool, my list has grown too and will have to update it.

Okay, according to my tracking of airlines the possible bankruptcy victims were (because I cannot find them listed anymore)

BOAC AIR was about net worth in the big negatives.

Van Ommen Air also big negative.

They are no longer listed in the alliances they were in. Now to search my airline database and see if they just got kicked out.

It is amazing the reject aircraft a person will scoop up in a feeding frenzy. LOL I am spending my time going thru and swapping routes around to get rid of the trash.

I am taking small hits to the daily profit line going from prop to jet, but it will ease my maint woes long term.

Gentlemen, I am mobilizing the Alliance for a preemptive strike.

I will take out SNCM because he is mainly Europe/France based.

Buffalo jump on the Russian guy.....I cannot type that dang name, South Sumatra Alliance

Crash we need you to scope out Mad Cap Air in the US market.

Speedy, you hit Norweigen Air up around Oslo, Copenhagen, Stockholm A and then either help me or Buffalo

Chijohnoak and Full of Air will hit Pacific Air.

TL Lines will help me strike SNCM and then where ever we need the help.

Gentlemen it is time we flex our muscle and grab these routes before they go under. Or at the least, let's give them a little nudge in the right direction. Lease all the puddle jumpers you can swallow and let's get ahead of the curve this time. All of these victi....eer airlines are already heavy negative net worth. Let's take them out. All info on gates being used can be found in the alliance options on the left side of your window, click browse alliances........They are the following:

Mad Cap..........Mad Cap Alliance
Norwegien Air.........Go alliance
Pacific Air........One Sky alliance
Russian.......South Sumatra Alliance

If anyone finds a Bag of Nuts route that is all his, jump it, he is also fair game. Let's do this right.

You hunt down his routes that he is all by his lonesome and you clobber him. You take away his money routes.

Chijohnoak is already scoping his routes so get with him and see what he found so far.

Do not get entangled in multi airline dog fights over routes. If he is already mobbed, move to another.

I have already head locked SNCM......he is as good as toast, he is not making any money on his routes. I am not making any.
