I really must say that the ICQ makes it much more enjoyable to be able to discuss AE matters and pass some time by when waiting for world time to pass.

Major thanks goes out to chijohnaok in helping me out

Dixie, I just snagged about 7 of the bigger routes out of GLA and EDI with 757-200 off the used bin. Could not pass them up.

No worries, I can't fly them all Especially as my B777 and A330 fleets are sloooow coming off the factories...

I slapped them on 180 pax routes and such........still a few larger ones and a whole bunch of A319-100LR routes out of those 2 airports.

I have been using my A319 out of SNA with that short runway.

DIdn't find you under that exactly. Then I searched for just 2ndACR. I found you but you have a space between the "2ndACR" and the "01"

Added you to my list.

Got up early this morning to finish up placing yesterday's new plane deliveries and ones delivered overnight. Managed to get all but the prop planes placed onto new routes. Then I flipped over and check the used plane bin. Bingo!!!

I saw that there were 89 planes sitting there. Between my two O1 Airlines I managed to pick up 20 A320-200s and around eight 767-300ERs.
I also saw 747s and 737s but had already put a big dent into my cash reserves and also had only about 45 minutes to place all those planes before I had to leave for work.

I managed to get them all routed then went back and checked the bin just to see if there was anything left. Two 737s, so I bought them as well.

All in all I bought nearly 30 planes this morning. I ran through over $2.1 billion of the approximately $3,000,000,000 that I had in cash between the two airlines.

R2, we start air service to Europe placing 2 CL44 on routes. Revenue now sitting at 525,000 per day.

R5, A319-100LR continue to arrive but in small numbers, slowly filling out SNA long haul routes.

O1, both airlines are now financially stable and growing nicely. Missed the bin dump, but will survive. New terminal built at CDG reducing gate fees from 6 million to 450,000.

O2, fleet upgrade continues. All L1011 have been scrapped and currently scrapping 747-100.

Hi Guys,

Might be a problem with "Hellas Air". He suddenly put loads of planes on routes I was flying. Sent him a message and asked why he was doing this. No reply!!!!

R2, almost to the million dollar mark. LOL

The going is slow, but steady on this airline. CL44 are shooting to Europe bases. Only 1 more to be delivered and then I will have top save some cash to order some more.

That hurt!  I just lost my first airline, had to go bankrupt because I was a regional carrier and could only pull in 5mil when my bills were 7mil.  I tried to take out a bond  but that only seemed to make things worse when tried to expand my fleet .  Good lesson on debt tho.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Learn from your experiences and give it another shot.

None of us created a global airline on our first attempt.

I accidently found this AAR - I just joined up and it the game looks awfully familar... Is this the game the Aussie company Efzed was doing about 5 yrs ago? I bought the original version from then but it was too buggy to play - it kept CTD'ing me to death.  As I said I'm joining up and hope to figure it out soon.  Thanks to all This AAR was an interesting and enjoyable read!

Not sure, it is free and is very stable.........what world you aiming for?

We are in O2 (the big dogs), O1, R2, R5

Those are the worlds I am in and control the alliance. Make sure if you request membership you tell me who you are in the message. I get bombarded daily with requests and deny most.

I joined R2 (Beta) - I'm just messing around - not taking it too seriously  :) .   Western Airlines, 1 flight PHI-BOS, just tried adding PHI-RSW (Ft Myers FL)  put myself $5M in the red doing that...still figuring some things out, configured for high density short haul flights - it doesnt seem to pay as well in this game. I noticed in this AAR about the advantage of puddle jumpers and props over jets, maybe thats what I'm doing wrong!

BTW - thanks for the hospitality and allowing me to stick my nose in here uninvited :)

No problem.......I found you earlier after I posted...........those high cost gates will kill you early game.

You will find that Ryan Air style does not really work well. Best to add business class to planes even 4 seats for small props and that helps you stay profitable during the price war with the economy spammers that will flood a route.

I need an opinion for R2. Year is 1970 and I need a short haul plane. Fokker F27 looks good but a bit old - is it a good buy? Rivals have the DHC-6.

I prefer the F27 over the DHC-6.........just a better plane in my opinion.

Reason being, more pax, basically same fuel rating, longer range than the DHC-6.

Gives you a better bang for the buck IMO.

The mutually owned and operated 7B and Siebenburgen airlines would like to announce a major expansion of its airfleet.

Picked up in the used plane bin only moments ago were the following:
2 Boeing 737-300
9 Boeing 737-400
16 Airbus 320-200
12 Boeing 767-300ER

Now to get them deployed so that I can begin to replenish my cash reserves.

R2.......Mitch Air begins major operation from CLT. DOP is up to almost 4 mil a day and ranked number 6.

R5.......Minnisota Air is ranked number 15, DOP is 128 mil a day and A319-100LR are being deployed.

O1.......Both airlines are up to roughly 14 mil a day and ranked number 80 and 90.

O2, ranked number 2 and DOP at 240 mil a day. Upgrades continue.

Correction I just slipped in the ranking in O2 to number 3........guess I might have to start exploiting new routes with new a/c instead of upgrading my fleet. Dang it.
