+ Green Bird can gloat all he wants. Nothing to do with him just not enough time. Even when he spammed my routes I comfortably matched his prices and my profit only dropped from 135M per day to 125M

I know, it can eat hours quickly.

At least German name grabbed all your 747's........I clobbered a bunch of your Tridents and young CL44. Now to see if Green Bird wants to play games with me. No way can he make money using DC8 and L1011 versus my Tridents and Cl44's. I did not spam his routes, but I do have majority market share on every route you were on out of LPA and TFS.

He liked to use the "can't handle competition" saying, well, I will give him competition.

Guess I will have to say thanks for those new Cl44s, but hope you come back.

We will survive. I will be playing for a long time. Game is just too much fun. Especially when some upstart try's to get dumb like Eturd. Who is doomed.

I wondered who just bought all those Cl44. Might check out the TU114 while you are at it.

Bought some 40 or so of them and exchanged them for the 10-12 year old ones I had.
Currently have alot of DC-10-30, a few 747s and alot of tridents arriving. Will have to put those to use first :)

Cool, we are getting join requests from smaller airlines. Check PM and make a vote, so far, Jetset is 3 yes and 0 no.

Bupolis International has 2 yes and 0 no.

Oh, and R5 invite sent to join the new Matrix Boys.

O2:
MEUS have extended into Asia, with about 100 young CL44 added to service, along with many other planes. Concentration is wandering into other worlds though.

S1:
Annual salaries have shot up across the board as the industry average rockets upwards. Most staff are officially holding a grudge, but MEUS can afford enough to avoid industrial action. Salaries this month expected to be $85m, up from $27m. Part of this growth is due to expansion, but maybe $35m is increased wages. Enough aircraft are on order such that MEUS will take a pause from ordering new leases.

Oddly, these higher salaries are making the world more realistic; there is a limit to profits, and if this all slows expansion, then so much the better.

R5:
59 planes in service, 76 on order, and wages are sensible. MEUS cannot fly to Washington DC for political reasons; almost as if DC is not a state, but that cannot be true?

Must be nice to have that many a/c in R5.......But yes, LGA,Washington and Dallas Love field are restricted to certain distances. I think it is 1500 mile range. No international flights allowed.

Just a quick abbreviated update.

Last night, actually in the early hours of today, I was just about to go to sleep when I saw that ton of 747s hit the used plane bin (Guess those were yours Speedy) I picked up about 46 or so of them and a few other models, around $7billion in all. Left about another 10-12 behind. In hindsight, I should have got those as well. Placed them all within about 90 minutes and then went to sleep.

Woke up blurry eyed and went to work. Checked in during lunch via an IPhone. Saw 13 747-200Bs, grabbed them all and placed them via phone.

Now its time to grab a bite for dinner and back to managing airlines in R1 (Ranked 195 and pretty much in autopilot mode), 02 (My big one, currently ranked 15th), and now the R5 world (ranked 126, based out of Brazil). All named Siebenburgen.

PS I am as red blooded as any American. (Although with Siebenburgen, aka Transylvania being the land of my ancestors, perhaps that red blood is appealing for other reassons ;-) )

Champagne for everyone!
TL-Lines have just leased their two first 747s. Economy is now really good, and some more ACs should be ordered shortly. Getting out of the previous lease was indeed the right move by the company.

O2
TL-Lines have finally reached their first immediate goal. All AC is now owned by the airline.
The next goals are as follows;
1. Once more have the most 747-200Bs of any airline (that means pushing Air France down from 1st )
2. Keep reducing fleet age, currently working on Tridents.
3. Find new routes for the arriving DC-10-30s and 747-200Bs.
4. Order new AC in the 707 family to replace excisiting AC.
5. Keep climbing the rankings.
6. Find a replacement AC for the An-10a

As long as you can find the routes for all those 747-200B, go for it.......We have 2 new members to the Alliance. Bupolis International and Jetset. Both are small newer airlines, so everyone welcome them aboard and offer advice, empty money routes etc. I have tried to backtrack using gates that Bupolis already owns to keep gate fees down for him.

I have offered SFO-DUS to Bupolis for a long haul 747 route. Currently empty but I have been watching it for awhile for myself.

Everyone do all they can the small guys, they are small enough that they go in the red at the 15th and 1st. Let's help them stay in the black so they can grow like we did.

All you S1 players watch your payroll, someone is jacking with the wages again. So if you are suddenly leaking cash, check there and see what the industry standard is.

O2......so far Green Bird is playing it cool and not really even fighting me price wise on all the routes I jumped on. Guess he does not want to play rough.

R5.......Finally we are stable cash wise and making money. No where near the top of the food chain and barely above the bottom of the food chain. Been scoping out the a/c and it looks like the Airbus A320 is the best bang for the buck, good range, good pax count and best of all, a 3.5% depreciation rate and we know that will translate to huge savings when bought.

Long range a/c I am still trying to decide and such. For all you big dogs, how about telling me the deprec rating of the 767 a/c and if you have any of the big Airbus models, the A310 series.

In O2, the deprec rate for he 767-200ER is 6%.

Since Greenbird backed off of your routes he has been undercutting prices on mine.
I have either matched the reductions or undercut him in response to regain market share.

In a few cases I did not need to cut at all as I had not lost any passengers -LoL

I will second some of Terj's strategies. Ordered some 707-120s and 707-320Cs to replace aging stock.

Still finding empty 200 passenger routes, likely a result of Eire's departure.

Thank you......6% is still not bad.......also I wonder about the Airbus and how it rates. I know one of you have one of the big Airbus.

And that would be R5, not O2. This info also translates over to O2 because now I know exactly what a/c to buy a ton of when they come out to replace my Trident fleet in full. I might even use them to replace my 737 fleet too.

Green Bird has not backed off, just not fighting me on the routes. I matched his prices and did not undercut him, just went for 51% market share. He is moving into areas all over Europe. Mainly he is picking fights with AEOLOS and a few others big time. More power to him. I am still waiting to see what he does. Cricket still holds onto a string, but the bank has a sharp knife. And Eturd is next on the chopping block.

Anyone got the 737 fleet in R5? And if so post up those numbers for me. Trying to plan out my replacement fleet for O2.

So far, there will be over 100 757-200 bought. Leaning toward a massive A320-200 purchase. 767 is also looking really good for a mass purchase.

737-200 deprec in R5 is 8%.

Royal Jordanian has gone into a tailspin

He was ranked at about 120 last week. Now he is ranked 192 with a negative net worth of about $40 million.

Funny thing is I noted him several days ago (when he was still in the 130s) offering a truce. No reply and look at him now.

If you are on any routes with him staff up your flights to fill the vacuum after the inevitable crash.

LOL.....That is funny how fast the tail spin starts. Plus love how we offer truces to the smaller upstarts and they ignore us and then look what happens to them. And this is without us even clobbering them. Well, until they start the tail spin and then it is dog eat dog.

R5 is looking better and better. Making a whopping 2 mil a day and finally not seeing the dreaded red ink after the 1st and 15th. Finally have a steady flow of new a/c coming online. Still light on the long haulers, but my money makers right now are my A320-200. I got to get a better grasp of the IFE systems. Play with the different setup and such. Once I got the extra cash that is.

Back to O2, check out the flood of a/c that will hit the used market brand new once Cricket and Eturd bite the bullet. LOL

If I were to start a 2nd airline,a dn base it out of China, it would be called the "Flying Tigers", in honor of the WW II era AVG.

Of course, even the thought of me starting a 2nd airline in a game, ON TOP OF the airlines I run in R1, R5 and O2 would be sheer insanity.---LOL.

I dumped out of R1 to focus on O2 and R5........Plus I can always dump one if it gets to be too much to handle. So far, it is not too bad even juggling the 4 airlines I control. As long as I do not do a massive buy of a/c. Then it becomes a bit of a bear. I scan my routes in about 8 minutes time. Now I wait for a/c and then hunt down somewhere to base them.

Houston International still has a ton of routes for 747 a/c.........Houston Hobby will be a hot bed once the 757 and 767 arrive on the scene. Every one of those long routes are wide open. I just wish I could fly 747 out of my 3 helo port bases. I have 600 pax routes that I cannot use. LOL

So you honestly think the day will come that an engineer will be able to design a 747 that can take off and land on a thirty foot runway?
