I stumbled up on this 3 days ago.

This is a Paradox game due out May 8, 2012.

I sort of really like CIV 5 (I know most on here hate it). If you also "sort of really like" CIV 5, check this out.

It is not up for debate in that it is almost a complete copy of CIV 5 in its mechanics (this is not a bad thing), but WARLOCK allows you to spend almost all of your energy on combat instead of logistical stuff.

I am not saying this is better than CIV 5, but I am saying that if you are into CIV 5, I think it is a no-brainer that you should check this out. Go to You Tube and check out some game play. There is about 3 hours combined of two different guys (non-paradox employees) playing throught this.

I have no idea how much it costs or if it is available on Steam, etc.., I am just reading what I see.

PS - When is that WW 1 Slitherine game coming out? Man!

Not sure, but I am beta testing Commander - The Great War. Someday soon, maybe.

wow! this game looks cool. I was half heartedly checking it out until I came across the bit where it is a "spiritual successor to master of magic" THAT got my attention! totally! It is now on my radar! Thanks for the heads up.

Now you got my attention. The line "spiritual successor to master of magic" is something I never thought that I would read. I will make sure to check this game out once it is released.

Trust me it's not a spiritual successor to Master of Magic. The combat system isn't even tactical. It's more of a spiritual successor to Fantasy Wars and Civilization V.
