Not sure if this thread will go anywhere, but I'll give it a shot anyways.

While I like the default music in Distant Worlds, I run into the same problem I do with a lot of strategy games. Sitting down for hours at a time, listening to the same music, after a while it gets irritating. I'm pretty sure it's even a form of torture, and studies have confirmed it a cause for forms of insanity.
While those examples may be extreme, still, it grates after a while.

Typically for games I spend a lot of time playing, I'll make or find playlists on youtube. I have one for X3 with Blade Runner-esque music and Cowboy Bebop-like jazz for example.

For Distant Worlds I've been listening to the first 27 songs in this playlist

No doubt I'll soon get bored of this too, so I was wondering if anyone else does this, and if so, what your playlists are, or what you think a good playlist for this game is.

If a bunch of people post stuff, this should be a good resource for many many great playlists to keep our auditory experience of Distant Worlds fresh even through the longest of space epics!

I remember that "Hegemonia: The Legions of Iron" had very good music, so maybe You will be able to find it and add to Your playlist. One of many it's themes is right here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7m9UzmB2hI
If You liked it than I am sure You will be able to find other themes easily.

Hearts of Space (www.hos.com) is a space music streaming service I have subscribed to for years that fits in nicely.
