Yeah, Moo, it's like Woody Allen (who I find revolting but that's another story) said when asked if he thought sex was dirty, his reply was it is if you're doing it right. That axiom applies well here, if you come back from vacation well rested, you totally f***ed it up and should be ashamed of yourself. vontiger obviously understands this fact and performed admirably. My sarcasm was evidence of my envy.

3/6/42 Nothing much going on. Everything's pretty much routine and has been for a while. There should be something of interest happen in a week or two. Don't quote me on it. The Japanese offensive against the Chinese seemed to stall for awhile, but I think things are going to get hot again in the Changsha area. Things are pretty quiet in Burma, Sumatra and Java. I have to suspect he may be building up for something else, but what?

3/11/42 The KB has appeared North of Fiji, heading unknown. Manila has fallen. We're all pretty choked up about it.

Well if they have dropped the cloaking shields they're about to attack something!

Well, I have reports that he has about 480 planes not including the float planes with the CAs and BBs. Looks like the KB++. Don't think he needs to cloak, I'm a little short on photon torpedoes.

3/14/42 KB still farting around N of Fiji. Guess he has something planned for it. There are ships at Nauru that could be loading troops. Fiji would be quite a deep thrust at this point. I've had estimates of planes with the KB of 480 to 420 to 460 (not including auxiliaries.

3/16/42 KB has moved closer to Noumea, hasn't attacked anything yet. Not sure what they're up to. Thunderstorms forecast for all over that area tomorrow, don't suppose he'll attack anything then either. Sorry there isn't anything exciting to report, guess we're both being too careful. He's trying to do some envelopement in the Changsha area, and I'm trying to stop him. Things in the Sian area are static, nothing happening. India/Burma is quite ho-hum, guess he's saving up forces to do what? Singapore is just keepin' on. Lost an AK and a small TK at Tulagi trying to deliver fuel, to a DD TF raid. A couple of days ago he lost a few Vals raiding Port Moresby to some P-40's on a training mission. I think that stung a little.

3/20/42 Singapore has fallen. That invasion fleet now reported as 30 ships is passing south of Rossel Island. It could be headed for Port Moresby or anywhere on the Australian coast. Tomorrow I'll have a better idea, obviously. Meanwhile the KB (which is in two TFs) headed SW of its previous location and is now reported to be heading West, which would be towards Sydney. Is the invasion force and the KB part of the same operation? Where should I defend, and what will I be defending against?
