Hey guys,

Katana, Sandman20, Vikingno2, M4 Jess, Arcticfire, I think I had games with you guys a few months ago, I'm so sorry for the lapse... Business is now almost self-running and I'm prepared to fight once again :)

So any takers? :D

I would like to fight a Sov vs. Ger Stalingrad battle, or any other battle... you guys decide... it's been too long and the 88mm is rusty hehehehe

Hello, old Friend, nice to see you again..:D
What about if we start a new battle, Germany vs. Russia, choose your side.
Set up the battle and make new thread to AAR -section. Create a new battle or take some Scenario, both are OK to me. What about slot? Do you Have 5 or 10 free?
Contact me if interested...

This looks very confused, but we could try if you want.
There's not any limitation on deployement and I just see all that stuff you've purchased.
Your choice, here's the save.

The map is really screwed up, I can only deploy on the lefthand most column... BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER!!!

The German 3rd SS Division "Totenkopf" charges forward.

Recon elements race towards the Red Barricades, running and crossing over the "Tank traps" (a long long ditch)

Nebelwerfer and 105mm pour out of German artillery and shower suspected Soviet strongpoints with HE. A few casualties are caused.

No action this turn. MCs and light vehicles moving forward fast, but the SS ground pounders are moving slowly but surely. A message blares from a bullhorn mounted on a leading MC:

"Surrender Soviet troops! Resistance is futile! Auschwitz awaits those who resist!!!"

Soviet troops will surrender only in your dreams, Oberst.:D

Scouts reported some Flammwagens and large packs of motorcycles driving here and there...Come closer, come closer....:)

By the way,
I can't send these large saves up here to forum, so could you give me your e-mail adress, because it's possible to me send saves via e-mail?

Recon elements continue to move forward, fighting their way into the outskirts of the Red Barricades. 3 Molotov Project AT squads are flushed out of hiding and destroyed, in addition to an MG MC squad. A 12.7mm DSHK MG crew is forced to run by an MC squad.

This Blitzkrieg is coming at a price early in the game. Well placed mines blow half a dozen or so MCs to bits...

A flammenwagen is also unsuspectingly destroyed by a cleverly placed mine. (My VHex!)

Rest of forward elements of Totenkopf are moving forward. That **** tank ditch actually works!!! One in six vehicles are stuck in the long ditch. I count a platoon and a half!

Grrrrr

A few nebelwerfer rounds land on Russian positions and cause a few casualties, easing the German Obersturmfuhrer's mood a bit. :D

The turn is in your email :)

Not much action. One Motorcycle group wasted in south and some others are now driving back to the Berlin with a speed of light :).
That's all in this turn.
Save is in your mailbox.

A Soviet Guard squad is cornered and decimated this turn. Many are killed and the rest flee and disperse.

More casualties from layers upon layers of mines. A few light tanks are immobilized by the mines, one is destroyed.

A few other vehicles fall victim to the Tank Trap ditch.. and a few get sucked in gaping craters..

The German infantry marches steadily forward, nearing their objectives. The recon company has done a good job of securing the route, laying out minefield patterns, etc. but have yet to achieve their goal of taking the Southern VHes.

The line is soldified. Surrender now while you still have the chance!! Your minefields will not hold us back forever!

Soviet mortar pounds the northern part of the line, causing a great many destruction to civilian buildings... :D

Your Turn (in the mail) :)

I'm not sure if it's corrupted, I think it's just Pkzip working very efficiently. I zipped up the files and separated them into 4, 1 zip file for each file, I'm sending them to you know, unzip them all in your pbem folder.

It doesn't work. There comes next error message:
Save game failed to load.
that file was earlier about 380kb when it was zipped, and now it's only about 200kb, there were maybe some problems when your turn ended.
Try to play your turn again, maybe that helps...

I tried to play the turn again but same result... hmmm I don't know what happened...

Shall we start over? I'm so sorry, create the game?

Map is Custom Game: Sta-Red Barricades.

Or, we can do a Ger vs. Soviet 1943 if you wish, it's your choice.

Let's take a regular battle. I can make setup.
How about medium map and 25 turns?
7 000 points? Is that OK to you?

OK!
Are you ready for your first turn?
I killed couple of MG:s and AirborneSquads. They just drop from sky, and they drop to wrong place.
There's still some of those AB-Squads alive there, I didn't found all of them:) .
Some minor casualties to both in first Nebelwerfer and Katyusha barrages.
Your turn.

The German army moves inexorably forward, destroying everything in their path including:

an M5 halftrack
a Guards infantry squad
a few cyclists
a T-34
and a truck (causing a few casualties to those who were riding in them and wiping out the driver I presume)

Your Turn :D

Well more are on their way :D

I destroy 2 KV-1s and an M5 HT this turn. A couple of various infantry squads are also forced to retreat.

A salient is formed in the middle as my panzers lead the advance.

Containment is still in effect up north and south, protecting the spearhead's flanks. :D

Luckily your Katyushas didn't hit anything significant hehehe :D

Your Turn

I just made some counts and I noticed that you've at least 10 tigers, about 6 or more Stugs and maybe 6 - 8 other tanks. And all those Assault Guns and AT & AA guns..... .

Well, I lost quite a lot of infantry at this turn.
You lost your Headquarters and some other miscellaneous stuff, like AA-gun, Mortar, Nebelwerfer, AmmoTruck etc.
Your turn.

Grrrrr

Your sneaky sappers have immobilized one of my Tigers!!! and a 76.2mm killed a StuG this turn. 12.7mm of yours kills 2-3 Sdfk222s
GRRRRRRR

Well, at least I got back some, killing 5 squads of Partisans/Sappers and a Guard Inf squad, plus, I think my Nebelwerfer really smashed your troops cause I saw a bunch of "casualty" and "dispersed" to the south.

Your Turn :D
