Status: offline 		When I start the long world war 2 campaign, whatever the year, the month the theator(spelling?) north africa, pacific, its always the same map. The only thing that changes is the contry I m fighting against, I chose US in all attempts.

Is this normal, or do I have to delete something? I just did this to see what kind of map I would get if I changed the year or the place I started the Long WWII Campaign.

Please help?

Status: offline 		I know that the 1st US battle in North Africa always seems to be against the French up until about Nov or Dec of 42. Not sure about the Pacific theater.

What happens when you choose a different country?

Status: offline 		Always against the French, but what's weird is I gave it a try US, january 1939, I chose Western Europe. When I got to the fight I had french objective, but I was bombarded by German aircrafts.

Unless they were allied during the war, it doesn't make sense.

Maybe I should no go before 1941 I play US.

BTW, I had to delete the .prf for the maps to change.

Why isn't the prf attached to the scenario or campaign instead of the game? It would not have been much harder to code.
Instead of steel.prf you save S###.prf for a scenario or C###.prf for a campaign and have the preferences only set from within the campaign or the scenario?

anyone agrees?

Status: offline 		Fighting the French in Europe first is correct

The Americans first landed in the Eastern Hemisphere in Vichy French occupied North Africa. Contrary to the expectations of some the French Army fought, the Foreign Legion was especially troublesome.

Status: offline 		Because the Germans and Vichy French were in a mutual defense pact after the fall of France...therefore you are fighting the Vichy and Germans in North Africa. Don't worry you won't be fighting the French long nobody did.........:D :) :cool:
