Long time Matrix member here, with lots of PC purchases over the years.

Just logged in specifically to give you guys feedback on the iOS version of the game. As it turns out, I'm a software engineer and have done quite some Objective-C, but this doesn't matter, I'm talking as a user here.

Seriously, what was the rationale behind not launching save/restore functionality in the original game submission, or even first patch? I bought this game and it has crashed so many times on my iphone 4 that I have _really_ not managed to get 1 game finished. Even if you didn't manage to fix all the crashes and leaks before launch, you should have at least looked at the many reviews post-launch and provided save/restore functionality in the first patch!

Really, I mean please explain what were you thinking. It cannot be such a big feature to create a save/restore functionality, and you know you have people that get crashes all the time.

Apologies if I appear sarcastic, it's just that I've expected better from Slitherine (Battle Academy is a great stable game) than having paid for a game I can't enjoy, and I don't think I am the only one here, just looking at the iTune reviews..

Looking forward to your reply.

The save game option is coming and will be provided within the next patch(es).

In the first patch it was impossible to add this function in a week`s time, or we would risk other bugs. But it was the first on our to-do list when we got that many requests for a save-game option.

We are also annoyed by the crashes that take place on some specific devices and at random, here we never could reproduce them on our test rigs, but it had to do with a memory setting and be sure we have been testing and working daily since release trying to solve this, patch 1.2 should go into submission to Apple any day now...

I see where you're coming from, still you don't ship a mobile game without save for many reasons which I can go through, this is 101 stuff! Your Product Manager should know better.

Looking forward to the patch, regards.

the latest patch has 'save and exit', but doesn't exit the app at all, just pushes you back to the menu. There's no point in having a 16+ MB app in memory all the time - please consider making 'save and exit' - just that.

thanks

Conquest! Medieval Realms patch version 1.2 is ready and out for both Android as iOS.

What’s new in Conquest! version 1.2:

• You can now save games in progress and continue later.
• Game now auto-saves every turn and resumes when you start again.
• Difficulty settings have been adjusted to give a greater challenge to advanced players.
• Conquest mode difficulty level now scales as you progress through the maps.
• Several bug and crash fixes.

Save game seems to work and makes the game much more playable.

Couple things, the game always thinks its my first time and asks if I want the tips on. Also, it would be nice if it would save the sound and language settings at the beginning instead of always having the sound on and the language set to French.

Enjoying the game, works well on my Razr. Hopefully, I'll have ICS soon to try it on there.
