ORIGINAL: zeduncan So when i read in the thread "Game is broken" "After france has surrendered my PP goes down to: -32. And the turn before I had about 300 PP." that means it's only in 1.02 beta but i won't have such bug in 1.01 ? Right ? From the start there were aspects of this game I liked and some I didn't, but on balance I have enjoyed this game much more than any other, in recent times. This is playing against the AI, PBEM players may have a different view. This is a personal opinion, for instance I find the rail repair is too quick and although it works reasonably well for Western Europe, where historically there were many roads to provide movement, the game allows a too easy advance into Russia in winter. Whether this mean the game is broken, depends how important these things are to each player and how much they can be adjusted with mods (with information on this forum I am adjusting the files on rail repair and seeing how it works out). There has been discussion on PZ units being much too powerful, 1.02 beta has an adjustment for this, whether it's a game breaker now depends on the player, I haven't found it a big issue. You can leave your minor allies under AI control, which can very realistic, but then their units can do crazy things and get in your way, ruin your strategy. However, the game allows you to dip in and out of AI control for each nation, during a turn, keep some control, but leave them to do some of the action under AI. Another issue for me is supply, which 1.02 beta adjusts and is why I am waiting to use it, after the reported problems are fixed. It has several useful features which will improve the game, but it's not usable yet for me, so I am staying with 1.01. How much you get out of this game will depend on what is important to each player and how much you are able, or willing, to use the huge amount of preference choices and adjustable settings the game has. Beyond that you could use other people's mods, or make your own file adjustments to change the game to your taste. So in short, ToF 1.01 is the latest official version, 1.02 beta is a work in progress and available to try out. Whether you will like the game depends on what you are looking for and how much its features meet your needs. So much in the game can be adjusted with the on-screen settings and preferences, or modded with work already done by others, or you can try yourself. Depends how deep you want to go, but I would have thought that there is something in the game for nearly everyone. PS- even if there was a game breaking change in PP levels, using the F12 key during the turn, you can access and adjust any country's PP level and put it back to where it should be.
