Another game - 6/13/2012 4:36:10 AM

I have one game ongoing as Allies using DBB 28B and the optional stacking limits. My opponent has some RL issues that have slowed the game down considerably and will last another 2 - 3 months I'm sure. I find myself wishing for more action. Therefore I am requesting another game. I think I am fair to good as Allies but my only experience as Japan is against the AI. I am willing to play either side but do want to use a DBB scenario or a derivative. I am not big on house rules, but I am also not that experienced. Respond or PM if interested.

I would like to try PBEM, but there are a couple considerations I should state right up front.

First, RL is a significant concern. Ongoing, it would be tough to commit to more than 2-3 turns a week. If a leisurely-paced game is ok for you, then great.

Second, my only experience is as Allies, thus would be looking for a Japanese opponent.

I would like to try a DBB game - they look interesting, but haven't yet tried because the AI might not be up to snuff with DBB games.

I'm not overly concerned about house rules - reasonableness (mainly don't do gamey things) should be the key.

If this would work for you, I'm ready.

Dan, like John 3rd, I would have enjoyed locking horns with another admired player, but two GC's would lead me to a nervous breakdown!!

Two games shouldn't be that hard to keep separate. Jump in.

2 PMs, one wanted scenario 2 and would not do DaBigIronBabes 30B.

No answer on the second PM.

Unfortunately its the time element that is the problem. I just could'nt afford to put 3-4 hours a day in.

Good luck in finding an opponent, perhaps when I've crushed my opponent into the ground we could lock horns in the future!!

Teach him the rules and have him try playing Dan. Maybe he'll be the Bobby Fischer of WiTP AE!

I always felt that one child was two too many.

Good question Jocke. I'm not sure yet. We are doing a historical first turn with me as Allies. We did the first turn, but I have not heard back yet for turn 2. I expect it to take some time and it has been about 2.5 days now. I have sent an email asking for a status report.

The first turn for the Allies does take a long time to organize all the shipping that is scattered over the globe and getting it to where you want/need it.

And I think Japan takes even longer with the production and all.
