Way back in June, when I started with this fine game, I had alot of questions. I started emailing Wild Bill about every 2 hours, asking "How do I do this?" and "How do I do that?" and "Why does the sun rise" - all kinds of stuff. You could almost hear WB cry out "AAARRRGGG!" Soon he "handed me off" to Redleg, pleading shortage of time (and sanity I'm sure), and Redleg took over the duties of mentor, patiently teaching me the finer points of waypoints, victory hexes, etc. "Son," he would say, "you GOT to have balance". Well, he didn't say that but it sounds good. Ever since then I've wanted to help the "new guy", and soon our new recruits will have a place to download tutorials on various aspects of SPWAW, one subject at a time. Each will have it's own separate text file to follow along with, and you can print it out. A bunch of our vets have volunteered their time to get this done, and hopefully we will see 6 to 10 scenarios in the first "batch". Get ready, 'cause it's comin'! Don

Sounds Great, I keep having small technical questions that are not covered very well for my tastes in the manuel and hate bothering people with these questions.

ursus, The only silly question is the one that doesn't get asked. People have posted what they think of as silly questions to this forum and I have discovered new features I never knew existed. If you feel sufficiently concerned to worry about a question, post it. The chances are someone else has the same problem but isn't willing to "make a fool of themself", or they don't know enough about the game to recognise that a problem exists.

My response: It's not a question if it hasn't been asked; silly or otherwise. Could we also say that the only silly answer is the one that doesn't get answered? What does this do to the old adage "Ask a silly question and get a silly answer"? The mind boggles. Sorry, just had to be cute.

Don, The idea of some additional tutorial scenarios worths definetively the time people have surely spent to build them up. i think that a "must" additional feature to these scenarios,as they aretutorial,is to have the text/explanations attached to them translated in other languages. As for one,i'd be happy to do my part of job to translate them in my native language: are you the one who developped them and i've to be in touch with for this purpose? Or could you tell who is in charge of this project abt my humble help offer? Txs

Thanks for the offer Resisti, I'm sure I'll need it. I'll see about having a section just for translated text files - that's a good idea. I have a tutorial ready to be tested. It's on flanking - so if you're a newbie and would like to test this, email me. I'd like your feedback. Don
