Well, again

Larizona, our game is not appreciated here.

I know what:

I have a special mailbox for diplomatic affairs.

Send me PM and I'll pass it to you.

Txs,

John

Aha, so you are a politician 'again' are you? How is Brussels?

Hi Roger,

I'm no politician.
I'm a business-man.

If you know me so well,

The offer stands for you also.

John

And now finally,

Once more:

Please, to whoever accepts this challenge, let us know how it goes. If this marionette is who he/she/it appears to be then this promises to be amusing in a sick/demented sort of way. If, however, this turns out to be a legitimate offer, then we all stand to welcome a new player to the fold.

BTW, I regretfully decline to accept this challenge due to other commitments; I’m, ah, washing my hair. Yeah, that’s it, I’m washing my hair.

Easy. You want us to invest possibly hundreds of hours of our time in someone we don't know. And why should we trust you? Have you posted on the forum before this call for opponents? If you want us to invest in you, you need to invest in the forum. That means posting on a regular basis, giving us a chance to know you.

You want us to trust you? Then earn it. Put your electrons where your mouth is, and start taking part in this forum. PROVE to us that you are NOT the same disgusting little demented troll that has tormented us for so long. Everything about you and your posts "smell" wrong. Let's see a post count over 100 before you start whining.

Can't Matrix like Paradox make certain parts of its site accessible to only people who have bought the actual game. Just like paradox you have can register on Matrix, but when you go to the opponents center it turns out that I can post/answer any multiplayer game request

http://www.matrixgames.com/community/opponents_search.asp?gid=351

The forum would be harder, but my matrix site login name has only one WITP AE associated with it (and all my serials stored), if I wanted to use a pseudonym I'd have to buy the game again. If I remember correctly some downloads could only be accessed by people who registered their games (then again that might just be paradox) Then you could easily ask the player to post a request there as well and his real name would show up. As it is now I think anyone can register for the Matrix site - just like the forum, and that's fine, but some content should only be unlocked by typing in a valid serial number to link to your account, like Paradox's site - and the multiplayer request should be one of them

Well, guys,

My wife gave me two days.
After that , you remove the game and put it in the dust bin.

Besides that , beying a journalist, I have some serious questions.
On one point, you guys sells games, and, following my AI experiences, GOOD games.

But when you finally come to see what you're worth, then a wall of hostility is fired at you.
How can you guys do that?

I, for instance, know 3 guys, who bought the game and were depth-charged here.

So, to end, would it be siplier if you were just friendly, as only this would make WITP-AE sales rise with a third.
And that's only one game?

But,as said by Mr.Downunder:"I spilled 100's of his hours by unfinished games"
And till here I never knew the man.

Well, to not take more of your hours, I'm sure some players give up, after losing a few warschips.
But, that the essence of this game: Each turn, think what you can win , AND what you can lose.

Regards to everyone,

John

While that wouldn't completely eliminate trolls, it would cost them money! I'm in favor!

It would also eliminate one particular troll who feels that stealing from Matrix is justified by the "Brilliance" that he brings to the forum by telling the rest of us that we are stupid because he's a statistician and we are not. Said troll , will of course , in keeping with the Matrix policy of "no personal attacks", remain nameless.

Listen, Guys

I can't build experience, if you don't play me.

So, what's the point?

My credibility: I gave my word of honor to finish each game.

My playability:

Let's play Scen 2 with me as the Japs, and a historical starter.

Daily turns, as I won't make it very long:)

One thing, I carefully prepare each turn, so three turns a day is not for me.

Well, PM me , then I'll send you my e-mail.

Txs,

John(YAMAMOTO)

Jesus,

On one hand, I have mercy on those 5 members.

On the other hand, maybe more such small clubs will do matrix good , as what happens here isn't exactly good for the reputation.

Problem is Mr.Xenxen, where is the link between "Spiderman" and me?

And Mr.Xenxen, if I read well, you're a recruit,

You as opponent, is that too high?

And now, lastly, can I play here or do I really have to throw the game in the dustbin?

But you can call me Linda, Jesus is my brother.

I still find theese threads hilarious!

But on a more serious note, icepharmy suggestion is a VERY good one. Make the general forum available for all people but limit all subforums to people owning the game. Just like Paradox does. One account per serialnr.

I bet thoose people who disapperars when things don´t go their way in a PBEM would be very nervous about something like that. Can´t just create a new account on the forum and go again. The problem with "clones" would disappear aswell. No more Linda/Japan/Helmut/MarieHenriette/Spiderman.

unfortunately, this also means people can't ask "how is the game" "Is it worth playing"...

Careful Historiker, if his wife really answers by the slightly outmoded name of Marie Henriette, you might be in for a nasty surprise (well unless you do love powdered wigs and crinolines, of course)

Incidentally, the only historical person I know who used this name was... a Queen of Belgium (and a Habsburg, btw). Déjà vu, quand tu nous tiens...

His real wife's name is Linda, and she keeps reporting me to the EU for human rights violations , because I won't play a PBEM with her!

Mr.Historiker,

I'm still awaiting your e-mail address, to send the starter.

MarieHenriette is a variety of Spa-water from the Ardennes, therefore the Queens name.

So, Historiker, do we play?

Well,

Obviously , we don't play.
And no American, a German.

Well, will have to trow my copy in the dustbin.

About the names you mentionned:
Linda is my wife, she even played here, till she had an operation, where after her opponent had another, faster game.
Japan,never heard off.
Helmut, yes from reading the posts, but I don't know him personally.
Spiderman was in the small club, mentionned by Xen-Xen, but left when he had two opponents from this forum????Spiderman 's real name was Joe Drover, he lives in London.
That's all I know, about your "evaders"

Now, it's time to leave, it night here.

Historiker has a" Legion of Merit", but he lies more then a certain "predecessor" of him, a Mr.Hitler.

Well, Matrix, that was it for me.

I'm fed up now,

John
