No carrier aircraft attacked. 40 Dutch bombers (139WH-3) attacked, mostly against 1st Battleship division. LRCAP shot down at least 20 bombers. (One notable fighter pilot, Sakai, S. shot down three, and now has six kills in total). Own losses: 2 DD severe damage. Estimated enemy losses: 1 CL and 2 DD major damage, 2 DD light damage, 1 small minesweeper sunk, 20+ aircraft shot down.
