As much as I loathe multi-player, I'm actually getting back into DayZ. I think it must be a little masochism on my part, because though I can't stand fanboy gamers screaming barely coherent English at other over static mics, it's still a blast to play. Although, I've learned that zombies in the game are indeed a sideshow, and the main threat has always been and will always be other players. Two night ago I was walking near the woods (I think it was near Pusta) and a guy went racing up the road in a bus with a bunch of zombies chasing after him. On the direct chat I heard him ask if anyone wanted a ride. Not trusting him, I kept on running back for the woods to get clear of him and his zombie hoard. Well, he gets out, shoots me in the back, and gets back in his bus. Even though I died, just the whole scenario was so ridiculous I had to laugh. A homicidal bus driver being chased by zombies who likes to offer people rides, then gets out and shoots them. Comedy writers can't come up with stuff that silly.
