I haven't been watching my Army planes as closely as I should have been and some of them have a fatigue level alarmingly high. I've
stood down several of my squadrons.

Just as I suspected: Diego Garcia is a busy busy place. Look at all the Allied ships there.

Location code named Bubble Drop has just received a few convoys carrying fuel and now they are going to bump Bubble Drop over 100K
in fuel. That will go a long way if I conserve from now on. Maybe put out some picket ships and wait for some action. Let Jim come to
me. Save up enough fuel to make a foray to India or Ceylon or maybe Fuji.

I've got one of those CS boats with 17 float planes keeping an eye on the northeast coastal waters of OZ. If something comes our way I
want to have some advance warning so I can get some backup there quickly before much damage is done. I can't be everywhere at
oncee so I'll have to put some feelers out, some picket ships out, to tell me where the threat is and how bad it is. And at least one mobile
unit able to respond to the threat. My carriers and escorts.

Hey all you experts out there......help me figure this out will you? I've got the 53rd Division broken down into it's three parts in the
Manila hex and I'm trying to rebuild the division so it's only 1 unit again ( like it was in Japan ) and so far all the separate parts of the
division have their "rebuild unit" button greyed out so I'm wondering what I'm missing yet to make the division whole again. I don't
think anything is missing but obviously something is wrong. Can you not rebuild a division in the same hex with an enemy unit?

This is me turning off the oil refinery at Miri because the base is overrun in jerry cans of gas. Too much fuel in storage at Miri. So if I
turn off the refinery oil will start to pile up and I'll have more oil to move to the home islands. Plus I need to get an AK into Miri to skim
off some of that fuel before it becomes a major spoilage problem.

Here's the latest Tracker economic chart. If I'm reading this chart correctly, when I turn off the refinery not only do I effect the fuel flow
but there's some supply that doesn't get produced either. So I may want to rethink this turning off the refinery tactic. Maybe the better
path would be to build up the airfield and the port so I can store more fuel there before it's picked up for the home islands. And that
means I need to make sure there's some engineers at Miri that can repair the heck out of stuff.

Here's the resource history of the Japanese Home Islands. According to this table I have about 40 days of resources left in the home
islands. Things are going to slow down considerably when the resources run out. I'm pretty sure I can't keep this strategic pace up
indefinately and probably here in about a month we're going to start seeing shortages in various places.

This is the first time I remember seeing this sentence in the Op Report "transporting supplies ...." but it's a good sign. I was wondering if
any supplies were actually getting to the boots on the ground and I'm seeing the supply levels of those units getting higher, at least they
aren't all without any supplies now. Maybe I can pull this rabbit out of a hat still.

Two of them report to 14th Army and the other to 15th Army (or something like that). They must all report to the same HQ. Likely you didn't notice because they look so similar.

There then was some kind of surface scrimmage going on where nobody hit anybody and everybody ran out of gas. So I'm going to
retire to Oosthaven and refuel, refit, and recomit. There's no hurry to sink some PT boats in the grand scheme of things I'll just come
back another day with more gas next time.

Oh. Okay. Thanks very much for that. I needed a fresh pair of eyes on the situation and you've helped me greatly....I was looking that
over for the longest time trying to figure it out. And now I know. Cool.

Here we have a task force that has chased down and sunk a PG and there doesn't appear to be any more Allied ships in Manila's port
so I was going to have them return to their original guarding positions at the mouth of the Manila harbor but I'm rethinking that even as
we speak. I'm thinking about the problem of the Bataan minefield and how I might get a few DMS ships shot up trying to clear it w/o
escorts of some kind and these guys would love to do something like that so it's a match made in heaven. I'll look around for some DMS
ships.

I moved a group of Nells to Singkawang so as to get serious about bombing Singapore's airfield. There's not that much airfield damage
yet. So I'm guessing this is the first installment of several level bombers I'll move to Singkawang. Lemme look around to see if I can't
spare some more bombers from somewhere. These came from Saigon.

There's some bombers at Koepang that I changed the mission of them to Darwin's airfield. I received an airstrike north of Darwin and I
suspect it originated from Darwin. I need to get some good recon of that area. I'll see what I can put together to that end.

Unless Jim has some more Dutch fighters on some base that I don't know about, this shoot-down of a Dutch fighter should be about the
last of them. Maybe. If so I can concentrate these hot-shots in Burma instead of doing nothing but training somewhere. Most of the
training of my pilots is happening in the home islands. I mean most of the training missions are originating out of there. That's my guess.

With the shoot-down of this Buffalo I'm thinking that most of what Jim has left are parked at Georgetown so I'm thinking a week or less of
sweeping on that airbase ought to just about do it for Allied fighters. Then I can move some planes to other parts of the world. Maybe
China.

Here's a sweep of Georgetown that got no results. Did he stand down his dudes? Or are all of them assigned as escorts and nobody is
home to CAP?

Okay, so, with a little help from my friends I've gotten the 53rd Division back into 1 piece and here's the line-up at Manila. I've got almost
everybody set to do a bombard tomorrow and this time the troops are involved as well. I'm hoping that the losses will be worth it.

I got two air base hits on the combat result but the mouseover is only now, after the combat has taken place, showing 1 air base hit so
the Allies are repairing the air base almost as fast as I can hit it. And the Allied casualties are easily absorbed. Maybe I need to hit the
port after I get "finished" with his air base, if ever.

And then I did my daily buck up the morale of the good guys on the ground but not much damage to show for it. I'll keep doing it of
course just to put in appearances and who knows, maybe some good IS coming of it. We'd have to ask Jim to know for sure I guess.

The combat result said 21 runway hits but the mouseover, now, after, that there are none. So those 21 runway hits were repaired almost
immediately. Pretty slick. Or there's some FOW going on and I really didn't get that many runway hits. Something like that.

And then a bunch of stuff happened in China and then this attack happened. He got away without a response from my CAP. I guess I'd
best look into why I have no CAP.

I moved a group of Oscars south to Kloung ( or however you spell it ) and put them on LRCAP missions with a little CAP as well. There's
only 8 of them or so, just about enough for escorts now-a-days, in this area of the world, for Japs.
