I like Judys, and if you make 1945 then 25percent or so will go banzai on you without having to be in a Kamikaze unit.

But the best aspect of 45 is ramming planes...I love that. Especially if they are poor pilots. I think there is an experience check...the lower the experience the more likely to crash into something...pure anecdotal evidence on my part though.

In my desire to ram planes, I used a Kamikaze fighter squadron on CAP...they did intercept the Jugs but no ramming. I guess it is hard to ram a Jug with an Oscar.

Damn...you just made me laugh heartily. WELL SAID!

I can't imagine why it would be so difficult to ram a Jug with an Oscar. Of course, it wouldn't do anything but scratch the paint and bounce off, but it should be able to make fleeting contact.

Adarbrauner if you're reading both AAR's it would be best to restrain from making comments about what you think Dan wants, especially in the same post that says your reading both of them.

No, I'm not violating ops security.

It's a consideration I made already, from the developing of the game, as many many other followers.

It is an obvious consideration.

everyon else has made it.

No "insider trading " here.

Anyone who's followed this campaign recently can understand that.

But if you really, really insist, I can delete it.

Even if not necessary, not warranted etc.

And not clever.

Forbidden to think here?

(and, btw, thank you for having thought of me as so simple, small minded, irresponsible etc. and anaware of basic trust behavior...)

Sorry I was busier and missed the initial inanity. Better late than never. I changed the subject line to throw some fuel on the fire too.

OK. Got the warning about OPSAC so I have stayed off for nearly three days. I assume everything is OK--RIGHT?

Haven't looked back except seeing Chickenboy's Post above. Please confirm this so I can begin some updates.

I KNEW it!

Thought it was an AFB attempt to takeover another legitimate piece of Japanese superiority!

Although I understand your desire to clear your name, I would suggest waiting until game events make the revelation old news.

Most players have years invested in a game and some of us have observed the enjoyment people have in their games spoiled by unintentional opsec breaches. Even the perception of a breach throws things into doubt and can spoil a game. It's one of the reasons you don't see a lot of AAR's.

. A good rule of thumb is that if you want to talk strategy or speculate on intentions to restrict yourself to reading one AAR. If reading both then it's safer to restrict contributions to game mechanics or trash talk.

John, how close are you to night bombing?

I think there are six major requirements for good night bombing:

1. detection levels (even night time recon)
2. experienced pilots
3. little to no flak and radar warnings
4. no CAP
5. Range -- the shorter the better, but also range of the bombers makes a difference too.
6. Weather and Moonlight

Everything else applies like HQa in range, good leaders, etc., etc.

I have always been disappointed by night bombing for Japan...

Manila now has OVER 700 ships in it. There are over 1200 aircraft here as well.

As far as the OPSEC portion of this, I am A OK. I didn't get onto the AAR so no harm--no foul.
