Mum got me a little coax toy chopper for Christmas. What a remarkable little aircraft, easy to fly. Anyway I got bored w/ it and bought a 120sr fixed pitch. I have a lot of fun w/ this hobby, wondered if anyone else here is into it.

When will be be offering flights. Several of us are willing to chip in and pay you handsomely to take warspite1 up and fly just like you did in the first few seconds. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

I can do that quite spectacularly w/o much effort.

I crashed the toy into my chest at full throttle. Yeha, it hurt some..

I'm looking to move up to 500 scale - lop a man's head clean off

I don't know warsprite. I'm missing the joke prolly. I wouldn't fly a R/C chopper anywhere near him and if I hit im I'd be appalled.

I'm missing the joke is all. rc choppers are nasty little critters. I wouldn't fly one too close to anyone. The 120 is a small chopper and I don't fly it too close to me. Well, except I crashed into my chest and it left welts. RC choppper ppl are big on safety, the scale crafts present a real danger to spectators. It wouldn't take just the tiniest of mistakes to hurt someone quite badly. Me and my buddy were standing well back when the video was filmed.

That's what makes it so exciting

All I can say is these rc choppers are loads of fun to play with, cheap and pretty rugged too. Ofcourse battery time is so so.
However, this is all childs play, the more durable rc's with a longer battery time are a photographers dream! Not too long ago you had to hire a real chopper to make aerial pics, or use a kite... risky business for your expensive camera. The police are quite interested in it too for police surveillance, and ofcourse the military... many times cheaper than a drone or satellite or manned chopper.

I was given the Apache RC for Chrimbo and so far it has been....

Crashed into the CHrimbo Tree

Flown into walls, ceiling and assorted pieces of furniture

Crashed into a sink full of warm water with soapy suds (dishes for the washing off)

The Cat made a mighty leap and batted it from the sky

And last but not least ..... My wife had a go of flying it.... The experience left me scarred and the Apache hiding behind the freezer

Damn good prezzie but with only 10 mins flying time the excitment comes in short bursts

That reminds me of some gas powered airplanes that I had as a kid. They had a string attached and you flew in a circle. You were supposed to control the altitude with the string. I must have had 4 or 5 of these, and crashed every single one before completing one circle! I got tired of saving my allowance up, only to lose it in 3 seconds.
