Shame? No - I have no friends either, at least on this forum....

I have no choice but to talk to myself....

That hurt.

I thought I would be counted as a friend.

Maybe I've done something bad to hurt you but I will beg forgivness.

Because you are my bestest friend.

Orm, I like you a lot. So you need to know that warspite has been sending pm's to all kind of people. Here is the text:

"Hi all, warpsite1 here. I want to warn everyone that Orm is a dirty Dutchman. Do not respond to his posts."

Mum got me a little coax toy chopper for Christmas. What a remarkable little aircraft, easy to fly. Anyway I got bored w/ it and bought a 120sr fixed pitch. I have a lot of fun w/ this hobby, wondered if anyone else here is into it.

Here's video of my insane skillz !

Back on topic. That is some nice flying.

But maybe some protective gear is in order?

Yeah t001001001, since you took that hit to the chest I think protective gear is in order. Plus a few more flying lessons.

I was you dumbass. You and your merry men decided to use the thread to attack little old me (a tad off topic). Seeing such hurtful things in print, a great sadness descended upon me, a sadness that only the Ormster could dispel. My Swedish prince came to my rescue, gave my life new meaning and so I finished off the tale by describing how we both lived happily ever after. Duh....

I opened this thread to see if any other wargamers here, like me, also enjoy flying R/C choppers. I like you guys, obviously common interests are shared sometimes. I wanted to see if anyone else here might be interested in the hobby.

I said absolutely nothing about warsprite. I don't even know the guy. Honestly I have no clue what the hell you guys are even going on about.

I've been posting at matrixgames long enough to know threads get locked when ppl are acting like hateful cock holes. The admins are clear on that.

Anyway, thanks for acting like dicks, prolly getting the thread locked.

This warsprite guy, what? Did he **** your wife or something?

Bad posts maybe?

oh my gods get a life

I apologize. Some of us have a horrible habit of hijacking threads. These inside jokes are lame and only known to those of us with NO LIFE. All our dumb posts are in good jests...toward those in the know. The rest of you man-up, we owe someone an apology.

I have never owned any thing like a remote control plane or copter. It looks awesome and I liked how you handled the little devil in the video. I have been considering buying a WW2 type fighter, but have no idea if I will do anything other than crash it and be out a lot of money. Any advice?

Sorry man.
No one was being hateful though. Warspite is our thick-skinned buddy that dishes it out quite well. We love warspite, although I'd deny it if asked about it later.

RC? No helicopter, but I do own a 56 inch Enforcer RC boat with a ported and polished liquid cooled 25 cc motor. The thing does about 55 mph's and throws a 20 foot rooster tail.

I only ran it a couple of times because it is way too fast for an amateur like me and is as loud as one of my dirt bikes. Got some looks when I first ran it on our lake. Now it sits collecting dust. I might have to get it back out this spring.

But sorry for the interruption.

I know you lot like to have a joke but I think taking peoples threads off topic is going to wind people up abit..maybe restrict the joking to threads one of you start up.

I think the world of you all, but I can see this start to bother other people especially if their threads keep getting taken off topic or become another joke\wind up fest.

No, no you may not. We shall fly unaided,

On the wings of love
Up and above the clouds
The only way to fly
Is on the wings of love
On the wings of love
Only the two of us
Together flying high
Flying high
Upon the wings of love

I used to build model gliders. But when my latest plane that I spent a year on building was crushed by a jogger when it landed I lost the energy to continue. The plane only got to fly twice.

Edit: It was not a model. I built every piece from scratch.

I don't think so but he could have avoided it. I suppose that he was to surprised to evade it. The plane landed right in front of the guy. I never blamed him. Note that we didn't start the glider with an engine so it didn't flight that long.

We had several planes in the air that day but I was the only one with such luck to have something happen to my glider that none had even heard of. Go figure my plane would be the infamous one.

You guys are all aight. I tried to delete my indignatious(?) post immediately after writing it but couldn't get logged back in. Danged old computer. So it goes.

Anyway!:

That's a coax chopper, SLAAKMAN. Set it to half throttle indoors and it will perfectly hover right in front of ur ugly, old face. It's remarkable. A similar one is what mum got me for Christmas. They're really easy to fly. Pretty soon ur taping foam to the skids to land it in the tub for challenge, flying it as close as you can to ur own eyeball w/o hitting, and so on. Then you get bored w/ that and get a fixed pitch. A 'fixed pitched' one has cyclic control so it's more like flying a dish; for me it's hard to grasp. The next level is 'collective pitch'. Those are the guys who fly upside down.

Coaxial choppers are amazing. You can get one for 20 beans at convenience store. Worth every penny.

I am glad you came back. And I have to say I am inspired to spend money on this hobby. I used to watch in amazement, when my sons were young, while in local parks as guys flew copters and planes. The speed and agility is shocking. It looks so cooool.
