Mission Report:
Got my arse kicked here, My plan to hit a few Panzer units worked ok until the last raid. I had it cover with a good amount of fighters or so I thought. The big problem was all the damaged straglers became easy kills for his fighters.

Good news is I have plenty of planes to make up the losses problem is that all the FB units are down on pilots and I am not sure how long it will take to get the pilots back up to full strenght.

21st panzer

118 now 141 x Pz.Kpfw.IV
95 now 117 x 10.5cm LeFH 18
117 now 147 x Infantry
17 now 14 x HAA
60 now 58 x LAA

Took out about 20 tanks and a number of guns this turn.

Not a great result but with my tactic of going in low there are 4 orange armour units. So even the high losses seem to have made a diffrence.

Day 56:

NO FB's today or the next few
BC is going after the next supply rail in the list
Heavies going after the two BC seem unable to KO and the mediums will run down the same stream and then break out and hit 2 airfield that have 80 planes each.
FS are running across the most likly axis of attack for his fighters

A few things on this one look at all the orange armour units. I must be advancing the break out date.
Very little cloud cover

Mission Report:

My medium bomber attack really did not do much 1 had cloud over the target and the other just did not hit anything.

FS scored 20 kills today for the loss of 1 plane

Day 57:

WooHoo the 8th is off the leash again.

Yellow: FB mozzies just giving him a small kick, eack raid has a small FS flying with it. I hope to turn two more units orange.

Orange: 3 PRI AF attacks to draw his attention and make him think I am going for a quick coast attack with my heavies.

Blue: Heavies flying four raids to attack large oil storage on the coast. There first leg should look like they are going after the troops I have already hit up the top. The Germans should not guess that I am going deeper until I cross the coast. I hope not to run into too many fighters up here. (I know there will be some) I have 3 FS flying the stream with the Heavies. 1 3 minutes ahead and 1 3 minutes behind, with the last a further 3 minutes behind. I do hope he sends up his night fighter!

Mission Report:
Yep he had moved all his planes down to Normandy, so only his twin engine bombers had a chance to attack my planes. He tried to catch them as they crossed back across the coast on the way back. Unlucky for him my fighter escorts where right with my bombers by then.

Day 58:

Opps! Showing all the recon here

FB's and BC today as most of the heavies that flew yesterday have fatigue in the 20's

Sending some FS to help protect my FB's as he seems to relise they are easy game as so many are flying home damaged.

BC are trying to take out a smaller supply line into the calis area. Roubaix and Brussels/Midi

mission report:

FB's Still taking a big hit have not worked how to protect them yet. If I put my fighters close they get chewed up by his fighters. Had a little luck sending FS sweeps just short of the target but if the timing is wrong. I am sending him a flag as to where my FB's are going to be.

Day 59:

8th free again

Heavies today are going after 4 power plants in close 1 oils storage and 1 port (supply line for the 2 units at the top of the map.
Mediums are hitting PRI AF
BC Lancasters are after Bettembourg rail secondary rail for main supply line and as far as BC can target with Overlord. Halifax's are after Schaerbeek largest rail close by the coast.

FB's Have moved Hurricane IV over near portsmouth that way when they are damaged they don't fly at 500 over some very heavy HAA and LAA. Also changed the 4 Typhoon Squadrons at Hawkinge to Mozzies as I have large number in the pool but very few Typhoon Sqd's have max planes anymore.

My german opponent is heading to South africa for a week and when he gets back moving house. There may be very few turns for the next few weeks and I thought I was going to be the problem.

Good news is we are still playing

Glad to see you two are still at it.

I'm looking forward to the next installment. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to post this AAR.
