Commanders; It seems to me that the first Russian general that should be made available is Yudenich (# of kills), instead of Evert (hydrodermic artillery). Yet the only commander on the Russian leader screen is Evert, making it impossible to have Yudenich to deploy when qualifies. Tying generals/admirals/pilots to tech advances falls flat as far as I am concerned...Especially in MP....

I will be adding more new Commanders for all major countries, in my mod all tech links are removed from all commanders, I have never heard of such restrictions, its just a lot of gamey nonsense rubbish, Commanders will be available when they were available in history.I also hope to convince the powers that be, namely the game designers to put an end to this gamey drivel.

Ok turn 2 and General Yudenich is on the Austrian/Hungary border with an Infantry unit. I have looked at the scripts for the commanders in the game, and 24 out off 49 commanders are scripted for the year 2000, meaning they are unlikely to ever appear in a game, given that they also have tech restrictions, and number off kills to achieve before activation, all I can say is the game designers got this aspect off the game totally wrong please fix.

This is exactly what I am talking about!

Hell! How are we to know who all these 49 commanders are? It seems that whoever designed this game, spent more time trying to Strangle Commanders into oblivion.

Many times, I am forced to give up a "lab" (one and only), (just to survive. So the general on the "Leader Screen" (that needs the tech), stays frozen, even though over time, other generals meet the required "green check marks" are kept in a kind of purgatory, for no other reason, than poor game design.

Russian pilot Yanchenko. At the present time Russia has 3 Generals, 2 Admirals & 2 Fighter aces ready for action by the time Turkey joins the war, these are the ones that come with the game, but were blocked from appearing due to the stupid restriction employed by the game, I have changed that, all that is required now is either for Russia to be at war, or be at war with a specific country, this formula just does not get any easier to apply.

Due to how this game is scripted, with unnecessary added complication, for deploying Commanders to use in the game, I have been left very frustrated and feel like pulling my hair out with temper.

With all the different types of restriction, being put in place to over complicate matters, with what should be a simple action, I have tried to remove a lot of these restrictions, but a great many times the game keeps crashing when they are removed, which is so dammed frustrating, so I'm left with either trying to track down what script is causing the problem and removing it, or just reducing the amount of kills etc, so that the game will allow the placement of new commanders.

I'm so argry at the moment,with many hours wasted due to game crashes, that I'm seriously considering stopping doing anything else to this game, and just uninstall it completely from my PC. In general, I much prefer games that come with an editor, to games that you have to learn by trial and error to edit, with little to no help, from the game designers on how to alter in game scripts and data, as there is no guide manual.

I think the best thing I can do, for a few days is take a complete break from the game, because to be honest the scripts and all the data is driving me up the ******* wall.

I, as well as others can appreciate what you are doing. To me, what you do, is a major way of understanding how the game works, stuff I have never seen or heard of before, that has to do with something (game) I come to use on a daily basis.

It appears that most of the Commander restrictions, are deep rooted in the scripts, and its like looking for a needle in a haystack, trying to find the scripts that are causing the crashes, it looks like a easy fix is just to reduce, most of the restrictions to allow commanders to be placed on the map, IE : Drop Kills from 100 - 10 for example.

Re-balancing;

In my match turn dated July 1915; 1. Nivelle needs Creeping Barrage to be deployed. In all my MP matches thus far (win/lost) this general has not been available. Creeping Barrage is the last artillery tech to be developed, by the time this tech is completed , the MP match is already over.

2. Brusilov needs Aerial Artillery Coordination completed to be deployed. Plus 100 kills & 100 casualties, at this point I have 397 & 528, yet it may take sometime into 1916, before this general might be available (makes no sense). Under the current rules; Revolution starts Jan 1916, another general that never get's put on the map.

3. Serbia deserves a general, if not 2 generals.

4. I can have 3 Turkish generals, before the end of most matches. What BUGS me; is that Turkey enters the war several turns (?) later than Russia (2 generals)!!!!

5. CP ships cannot block convoys from passing through the Suez canal. Had a AH BB and a Turk cruiser, side by side at canal MED. entrance, convoys would go right through them.

Questions 1 - 4 I have already solved, and all the generals including all the new ones, will be available to use in the standard game, as well as in my up and coming massive mod. As you can see from my previous post, Serbia now has 3 Generals. If any gamer has a Commander they would like to see in game, please let me know, they are very easy to add to the game.

4th and last Serbian General Petar Bojovic. I think Russia has 3 Generals in game now, but due to her size I think I will add another 3, to give Russia a total of 6 Generals to use in game.
