Overall
The ground freezes again, which suggests that the USSR will launch a lot of attacks this turn.
Last turn the USSR made 7 attacks and scored 5 helds and 2 retreats. We made 2 attacks and got 1 held and 1 retreat.

Losses
USSR : 55.000 troops, 407 guns, 353 AFVs, 294 AC.
Axis : 20.000 troops, 268 guns, 72 AFVs, 44 AC.

Axis units destroyed
1 Fortified Zone.

German units disbanded
3 Fortified Zones. We also disbanded the Clausewitz Panzer Division and the 37th SS Cavalry Division.

Overall
The USSR launches a lot of attacks and score rather well. However we counterattack more than before, and we cut off and isolate two USSR guard corps. True, they will be saved, but still, a morale boost to us, and a show of strength to the USSR. A warning as well, do not get too confident, we still have teeth!
34 USSR attacks ended with 21 helds, 10 retreats and 3 routs. The good news is that they were unable to break through one line and in the same turn take out the next line anywhere. We make 8 attacks and score 2 helds and 6 retreats.

Losses
Probably a lot of guys named Fritz and Ivan...

Axis units destroyed
63rd LW Flak Regiment, 4th JagdPanzer Battalion.

German units disbanded
3 Fortified Zones. The Stettin Static Division is merged into another Infantry Division.

Mud once more. The USSR kept hammering, but were repulsed for the most part. 37 attacks gave them 30 helds, 6 retreats and 1 rout.

Himmler TOLD me he had made all the correct sacrifices to the weather-gods, but still we are back to Blizzard. I need mud, and I need a lot of it! The USSR made 10 attacks and scored 9 helds and 1 retreat (far south), while me made 1 attack and scored 1 retreat.

Axis : 25.000 troops, 304 guns, 54 AFVs, 61 AC.

Mud again, but I could really have done without that last turn of blizzard (see below). We got a lot of reinforcements that frankly serves us no purpose at this time, so we disbanded them.
34 USSR attacks led to 23 helds and 11 retreats, while our 1 attack scored 1 retreat.

USSR : 103.000 troops, 1.556 guns, 758 AFVs, 628 AC.
Axis : 43.000 troops, 868 guns, 231 AFVs, 44 AC.

I find that more annoying in -41 and -42 when there were still the "charge through or be shot when you come back"-mentality as well as poor tactics in the USSR army....
I actually find it more annoying as well that it is so darned easy to reduce a fort when your attack fails miserably....

Do you want the good or the bad news first? Well, if you opted for good first, then I am sorry.
In the South, the USSR breaks through our defensive line, and I will lose 3 divisions here. The good news. Well, atleast I have a second line in the rear ready for the USSR to break through, and I have spare divisions to fill the gaps. Second piece of good news is that our Berlin defenders have repaired the damage to the fortifications, so that the fort level is once more back at 3.
27 USSR attacks meant 17 helds, 8 retreats, 1 rout and 1 surrender.

Losses
USSR : 76.000 troops, 927 guns, 501 AFVs, 487 AC.
Axis : 31.000 troops, 587 guns, 82 AFVs, 50 AC.

Axis units destroyed
2 Fortified Zones.

Victory levels for the 1941-45 and 1942-45 campaign scenarios:
Decisive Soviet Victory - If Germany surrenders in 1944 or earlier. - Nope
Major Soviet Victory - If Germany surrenders between 1/1/45 and 5/31/45. - Possible and likely
Minor Soviet Victory - If Germany surrenders between 6/30/45 and 9/30/45. - Possible, but less likely
Draw - Germany does not surrender by 10/01/45 and the Axis player has less than 142 points. - Possible but unlikely

Thankfully the mud reduces the amount of USSR attacks, although they do push some in the south where the USSR still had clear weather. 16 USSR attacks gave a result of 10 helds, 5 retreats and 1 surrender.

USSR : 56.000 troops, 623 guns, 338 AFVs, 582 AC.
Axis : 52.000 troops, 792 guns, 176 AFVs, 116 AC.
Flew a lot of recon, hence the high number of lost AC.

Remember how I said it was bad news that the mud was gone? I was right...Just see below. We are now very near the end here. Mud again now, but still very near the end...
56 USSR attacks gave a result of 32 helds, 22 retreats and 2 routs.

Losses
USSR : 103.000 troops, 1.667 guns, 559 AFVs, 1.402 AC.
Axis : 55.000 troops, 1.284 guns, 193 AFVs, 119 AC.
Heavy losses all around. Had this been one week against the RAF in the BoB, the RAF would have been destroyed in this week alone...

The mud still holds, which gives us another turn to live. In the south we do give up the city of Gorlitz as it is surrounded on 5 sides by the USSR. The units cut off in the north is the target of USSR attacks, and we lose quite a few since northern Germany is not connected with Denmark here .
28 USSR attacks meant 18 helds, 2 scouted, 7 retreats and 1 surrender.

Losses
USSR : 68.000 troops, 777 guns, 267 AFVs, 644 AC.
Axis : 48.000 troops, 677 guns, 64 AFVs, 46 AC.

Axis units destroyed
117th Jager Division, 76th Inf.Div, 227th Inf.Div, 904th StuG Brigade, 46th Pioneer Battalion, 50th Pioneer Battalion, 5/46th SP Flak Company..

Major Soviet Victory - If Germany surrenders between 1/1/45 and 5/31/45.

What happens if I surrender between 6/1/45 and 6/29/45 (or 1/6/45 and 29/6/45 which ofc makes more sense for us Europeans ).
