What format is the music in - MP3? I have always thought that it would be a great feature to be able to add to the playlist those songs which you would like to hear but never seem to make it in. A feature like this would be (I presume) easy to implement and would add a lot to the gaming experience. Don't like the music? Replace it with your own, or just supplement it. Always wanted to hear a rousing rendition of the 'Internationale' for the Soviets myself. ------------------ Wait for Death. There's a choice? Recon

I believe all the sounds are in .wav format for this game, Recon. MP3 is a good alternative, but I am not that proficient in sound files to be able to address your question. I like the idea of background music. I have two tapes filled with background sounds and music from all my favorite war movies. I turn the sound off in the game, and turn on my tapes when I am in the heat of battle. Themes from Hamburger Hill, Zulu, Battle of Britain, etc. Since I tape them directly from the movies myself, I get the corollary sounds too. Your post seems to say that there is no music in the game, only sound effects. Is this the case (perhaps I'm reading it wrong)? It's just that in the features writeup in the options paragraph it says that the music can be replaced by battlefield sound effects. Listening to your own music CDs ect. is fine but it would still be far more convenient to put them on the old hard disk and access them via the game interface. Perhaps Realplayer or one of the other MP3 player companies would be happy for you to use thier engine in return for a plug. Might even get Matrix some (gasp) money. ------------------ Wait for Death. There's a choice? Recon

Oh there is music in the game, and very well done, especially for this game by Derek Boain. But you are right, it would be nice to be able to substitute tunes for something more to your liking. Currently I don't think that is possible. At least for me. But without a doubt someone will figure a way. I hope they will share it (and the music)....WB ------------------ Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games
