I am sure it is related to star density in some way, but have never bothered to check. It would also depend on the number of stars in you 15x15, I think.

Due to the larger grid, the original grid was 10 x 10.

Either way the percentage shouldn't change due to a larger galaxy grid - the numerical values behind it however, sure.

100% is 100% - You don't go above it when it signifies complete control.

Huh? 100% is the default setting for how large control circles should be. Do you feel they are a tad too large, make them 95% instead. Do you feel they should be a bit larger, make them 105%.

It has nothing to do with "how much control", it has to do with the control area of each colony.

If you run a 1000 star 4x4 (good luck), a 100% circle would be exactly the control circle size used in 10x10 700 stars. You would notice your capital controlling a whole freaking lot of stars as the game starts.

If you run an irregular 100 star 15x15 (good luck with that too), you will notice that a normal 100% control range is rather irrelevant, since most stars don't have neighbors close enough for the control zone to matter.

Ohh - wrong subject. I thought Adecoy was on about pirate control - now I realize it was the game setup influence thing.
