The Vita is hurting for good games, even more for space games... and yet more for space empire games. There is a vacuum. One this game could fill.

Make it happen, and the players will come. It's a powerful little system, the touchscreen can sub for a mouse just fine, and it is an entire untapped market.

Do it. Pretty please.

I can't even begin to think how much playing that game on a FIVE-INCH screen would suck. Even if the Vita had the processing power (which it probably doesn't).

Me too but it brought back memories when I used to play C64 games on a 5" color back in the 80's at work.

My was also a 5", only it was B/W.
I only switched to a colour one when I bought the Amiga.

I'll be buying a vita during Christmas season. I've already pre-ordered PS4 and remote play being good or not MLB The Show and the ability to play your franchise on your tv save it and play it from your vita with the full game is enough to buy one in my mind. I'd certainly buy any real wargames that went to the Vita but my guess is there simply are not enough Vita owners on the market nor is the audience of the right demographic to convince any wargame developers to make it.

I think its pretty unlikely. Most of our games requires significant screen space to work well and the small games just don't do them justice. For example we can run Battle Academy on an iPhnoe but we decided not to release it as we were not happy that it would be an enjoyable experience. DW would be much worse in my opinion with lots of tabbing between screens to get the info as it cant all be displayed on the small screen. The map itself would be zooming in and out all the time to see what was happening.

Well, Iain, if I may offer two thought. First, the Vita screen is fairly large, as far as portables go, and it has a very high resolution. And second, a simple zoom feature by, say, pinching/spreading fingers on the screen, would mitigate a lot of the inherent limitations. A modified UI might be needed, but I think DW on the vita could work. I had given it a little thought to it before I made the suggestion.

Seriously, a good space empire game, DW or otherwise, turn-based or not, on the vita would be very successful. I would bet on it.

I thought the Vita has a really low resolution, like 960x544 as well as a tiny 512MB of RAM.

Think a portable DW would make a lot more sense for ipad/android tablets with 2048x1536 resolution and 1-2GB of RAM.

Screen is to small, memory is insufficient (even for the basic requirements) and the screen res is woefully lacking amongst other things. The specs are to the right
