I just bought the game and i am going blind, not sure if this game is meant for humans. Just bought the whole game with all expansions, cant get further from the tutorials, becouse i have to put my face into the screen. Really dissappointed, spended alot money for a game which seems great, but i just cant play the game as it is. In a way it is just wrong to sell it like this :( I really hope someone will update this game, it seems a good game, but probably meant to be played for a certain group of gamers, not for overall gamers. This should be pointed out for buyers, i would never bought the game if i would have known that

I agree. There have been lots of complaints on that over the years, don't know why the developer has decided to ignore those complaints.

I use the freeware magnifixer with the game. Uses a hotkey to magnify a portion of the screen (size adjustable) centered around the cursor.

I play at 2560x1440 on a 27" monitor. I would like the font size to be larger, but I wouldn't say it's unplayable. Of course I can't speak for everyone's set up, but it does work at that reolution for me. The recent changes to the tech screen font have improved things, as has the ability to resize the selection box at the bottom left.

Hmm, I'm not familiar with Windows desktop magnification in general, but maybe that's a solution? You can play the game in windowed mode so that it only occupies part of your monitor, then maybe it's possible to magnify the desktop so that it fills the whole monitor? That would scale up everything, including the text.

I've used Windows Magnifier for Distant Worlds, and with some success. It's free and already bundled in Windows 7 and Windows 8 (I believe). I tend to run my 23 inch monitor at it's highest resolution, which creates the smallest but clearest fonts in the game, and then use the Windows Magnifier hotkeys (the Windows key combined with the "+/=" key to magnify, or with the "-" key to return).

You can try several kinds of magnification adjustments in Windows Magnifier; but I keep it simple and just increase the entire screen to 200%, and scroll to where I need to go. You can minimize the little magnifying glass icon which appears (which makes it disappear from the screen altogether), or just move it to a convenient place. The hotkeys seem to be the easiest way to use it for games, I've found.

It's not a perfect solution, and can get a bit tedious at times, but give it a try. You may find yourself playing the game.

The best solution is to start using larger, clearer fonts at high resolution, of course.

I occasionally have problems with the fonts. Especially when it comes to differences between numbers. But I certainly don't have game-breaking issues with it.

Tell me how to play in windowed mode please. I have not found that option. And pressing ALT+Enter does not help either to get to window-mode.

And yes, the font-size ist too small! Very hard to read on my native resolution of 1920x1200. And it has nothing to do with my screen, it is a high priced Eizo-Screen.

font size is too small, AND too fuzzy. Increase resolution and size is greatly desired by this one.

Except it is ALT+ENTER. Now go fetch the cat o' nine-tails and give yourself a good whipping puny servant.

On a more directly related note, I'm not having any issues with the text size on my 25�" monitor running at 1920x1200.

Shame you didnt read my whole post, where I clearly stated, for those who CAN read, that pressing these Keys, or the correct ones (ALT+ENTER) DOES NOT WORK!
