Technology moves forward, but, a work of art remains a work of art regardless of how long ago it was created. I am not entirely sure a game made 5 years ago should have a shelf life just because the machine it ran on 5 years ago has been left in the dust by newer spiffy machines. Now, if they made game X 5 years ago, and then redid game X 5 years later with all sorts of bells and whistles, it might be a leap to ask full price for the 5 year old version. I am ok paying full price for Panzer Corps for instance, even 2 years later. But you can forget selling me full price Panzer General which is where it came from. I'd love to pay 100 bucks for a 2014 Steel Panthers, at which point my desire to buy old style Steel Panthers original full price is going to also be not gonna happen. I admit, it seems to suck paying full price for The General's edition, but keep in mind, you are paying for 4 Mega Campaigns, not the base game. And until someone makes me a replacement for the 4 Mega Campaigns.......
